Strange letter from a Debt collection agency! re:SKY

Well just checked online and royal mail has delivered the letter before 12.21pm today :j

So, if i don't get a reply within 30 days it's a criminal offence...what would i have to do then (out of interest)?

I have a feeling that i will get a reply, but stating that no documents were found or signed...obviously, what happens if they continue to insist on payment?

Report them to Trading Standards, part of the council in your area. If you defend any action they raise (unlikely), they can't win in court.

thanks yet again Harassed!!

Hopefully they will realise that we aren't going to roll over and pay up for this debt we don't owe in our eyes, and they will send a letter out saing they are going to drop it !!!

Wouldn't hold your breath waiting for that, their usual form is just to drop it. You'll hear zip from them again, most likely.

I would suggest that you call sky and quote your new account details - say that you want to end your contract when they put you through to customer retentions tell them why you want to leave (because of the problems on your partners account) I bet my mortgage that you will no longer have to pay - give it a go

got a reply from Lowell Portfolio, which has scared me a little bit. It says that they are requesting statements from Creation FS. I find this a little strange, as he told me he was looking at my statements when I spoke to him! Anyhow, they then said that payment will be required in full, once these statements have been received.

Awaiting further progress.

Try not to worry Kaj!

I'm sure these are scare tactics to make you pay.....especially if they have already contradicted themselves about having the statements infront of them etc!!

Stick to your guns and wait until they have provided 'definate' proof of the agreements!!

they are requesting statements from Creation FS.

It isn't only the statements they have to produce. It's the whole shooting match. A true copy of the agreement, deed of assignment AND the statements.

They have to PROVE the debt. Statements alone are not sufficient.
