chrisnic0, if you have a look at this site here and scroll up and down the page until you find the year model Micra you need to install the radio in, you should find the cable harness adaptor(s) you need. It looks as though you may need an adaptor for the aerial connection as well
(edit: You can e-mail them with questions, and they do respond, even to the bleadin' obvious as I found out  )
As you can see, it isn't exactly cheap, but I'd hate to see how much Halfords would charge (but could be worth a look, you never know) or try a local motor factors.
Hope it helps.

As an ipod owner I see no possible problems connecting an ipod to the stereo via the method shown in the diagram. The ipod can output via the socket at the bottom (which is how it looks in the photo). It fits into portable audio sources such as the Logic 3 IStation and the specific Bose ipod unit in this way. Obviously all controls for the ipod will have to be done via the ipod unit itself though.
Connecting from the port at the bottom will give a much better sound than using one of those cassette jobies connected to the ipod headphone socket, as it works as a true line out.
I've no interest in one of these as I don't drive but I think it looks very good especially for the money to me. I'm pretty sure places like Halfords charge about £100 just to install a similar port running to the amp of your regular car stereo.0 -
Wondering if anyone has had the same problems I have just encountered... since I installed it last weekend, the player "died" twice. No response to any buttons I pressed, but the red light is still blinking.
It was easily revived by pressing the reset button though, however, all settings were lost as a result.
COuld it be the weather causing it or something else more sinister? This never happened to My previous mp3 player before.0 -
Its also unlikely that an iPod will actually work plugged into a USB port as it requires drivers to make it work on a PC or Mac..
Ipods do not require drivers and will work as long as they are pc formatted
My Ipod mini worked perfectly and displayed the track names ok because it uses id3 tags, not the filenames.
FM works fine for me too, at £49 this is a real bargain.0 -
machofairy, try ejecting the head then reattaching a few times. It works for me. Annoying and once I get chance I'm going to replace it with the old stereo and take it back.0

The photo's gone now, but I think it was saying that you could connect the iPod via USB. Certainly, a proprietary analogue lead, as needed for the iPod to output from the base, would not be supplied.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0 -

That's good. Did it also play them in the right order, though?Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0 -

Erm not sure what you mean by the right order...I don't play tracks as albums - just lots of individuals - and I use random play to add to the excitement.0 -
By the way - this was using the standard USB cable that came with the ipod - this connects to the ALDI supplied cable and enables the player to skip tracks on the ipod. The Ipod appears as a standard external drive.
You can buy a self powered 60GB USB drive on ebay for about £45, if you don't want a portable MP3 player, just a car one....0
