  • I think the Lidl one had LW radio also-crucial if you follow cricket
  • Just wondering if AM actually includes both MW and LW, thereby still allowing cricket on r4 - any teccies out there know?

    Very unlikely.

Its also unlikely that an iPod will actually work plugged into a USB port as it requires drivers to make it work on a PC or Mac.

Other MP3 players that don't require drivers (i.e. almost everyone apart from Apple) should work fine. I use a 20Gb iRiver on a USB port on my car stereo.

I'd say AM would mean both MW and LW, I think the radio receiver chipsets used in these things are pretty standard these days so I'd doubt they'd exclude LW.

I'd say no, as it doesn't state it has any wired remote control input. Also even if it did you'd probably have to get a converter box for about £40 to make it work as the interfaces don't appear to have a common standard.

I think it would be perfect if it could interface with the stalk controls and have the USB connection on the front and rear (don't know where it is) so you could permanently mount your iPOD (if it works with an ipod).

I'm gonna take a gamble on this one - the picture clearly shows an iPod in the same picture as a cable plugged into the usb port, so if it doesn't work with an iPod I think I'll take it back and explain it's false advertising. I was thinking it may treat the iPod as an external hard-drive, (no drivers necessary I think), but the screen on the iPod shows a song is actually playing on it. I'm interested to see how it does work, and I can't see them sticking an unmistakable iPod in the picture if they aren't compatible! I'll be there first thing to get one so I'll post some info when I've cracked open the box.

I haven't bought Tevion before - are the instruction manuals typically any good (easy to read/good English etc)?
