Mine is Astra T-reg, I think the cars are probably very similar ad I think you will probably need to swap.

Look at the back of your iso plug...
-top left corner is green
-below that is green too
-below that should be yellow (swap)
-below is black
-right of black is empty
-right of that empty socket should be red (swap)

Does of you with Vauxhalls, have you managed to get RDS to show up on the Vauxhall CLock Display? I have a 52 reg astra and I'm pretty sure I should be able to see the name of the station I am listening to on it.

Anyone got any ideas on this one?

I fitted the stereo using the ISO connector. I have a Vauxhall Zafira.

Stereo works but the central locking now does not work properly. Will unlock when I stand very close but won't lock using the button.

I don't think that will work as that feature is proprietary to Vauxhall and I don't know any radios other than their own with the right outputs.

you can get it to display but you need a decent head unit with the rite loom

aha, fixed it. It was the fact that Vauxhall don't use standard ISO wiring. Had to swap the ignition live and permanent live round. No idea why it affected the central locking though!

You can only use the Vauxhall clock display if you buy an adapter. These are generally specific to the manufacturer. Eg. Kenwood have some for their units. I doubt the Aldi special has one.

I've quickly gotten used to not having the display

Hmmm, not impressed with the unit so far.

Firstly FM receiver seems very weak. Can't pick up stations clearly which my Sony had no problems with.

Secondly, the facia doesn't drop properly when you press the button to load a CD. I have to manually help it.

Finally and perhaps the most annoying, when I get in the car and clip on the face plate, all the buttons stop responding, even power. I have to eject the face plate then reattach it then it works!?!?!

Humph, I took the Aldi freeview PVR back last week and it looks like another thing is going to find its way back to the shop.

Anyone else had similar issues?
