The texts quoted seem pretty obvious to me. What were you expecting when you called?!

Yes, the texts do make it obvious. But there isn't an issue about what kind of service they're offering and they can do that all they like as far as I'm concerned. The issues I have with them are:

    1) They use a non-premium rate number and this allows them to fall outside the control of certain regulations.

    2) They generate income by tracing people who call them and call the number back or write to them demanding payment. Some people might not have even used the service beyond listening to the options for a while then hanging up but might pay up in order to avoid embarrassment.

True, you dont want your wife seeing the letter :rotfl:
  • Just been stung - stupid enough to phone them a week ago back so now expecting a call from them....

Options are a) tell them to get lost (clearly it's illegal) or b) pay them to go away. If anyone has paid them, have you then had any follow up - e.g. junk mail, scam letters, etc?

    Cheers

Please post the telephone number(s) you called here - this will enable people who may get a text asking them to call this number to find this thread if they search on the internet for it. We can also deluge these people with phone calls from telphone call boxes. That should waste their time as the try to phone a call box to get the address details.

I just got two texts from +447786409600 asking me to contact the number mentioned before. It described the service as:-

your new direct access number to talk or listen to the SEXY girls is 02032858196 call anytime day or night Girls are ready right NOW
    +18 NF
    cs08700669216

I called the number at the end (08700669216) and chose option 1 to opt out of free text message promotions. We will see...
  • I got x2 sms from vodafone numbers. Going to contact vodafone fraud team.

    Hi,
this has happened to me too. Got a text supposedly from "girl" telling me to ring her at home because she enjoyed last night. A family member read my text so I rang the number to prove that I hadn't done anything. Got through to a sex line and hung up. Got a call about a week later telling me I owed some money because the call wasn't included in bill, got asked for my post code. When I refused she said the debt collectors would track me down. Being reasonably young and naive, I gave her my postcode. Got a bill today for £35.50 for a 10 second call. What should I do? Contact ofcom or phone telebilling, or ignore it?

So you gave them your postcode and house no?

If i rang (knowing me i would lol just for a laugh) And some girl rang after asking for ££, i would say:

    "what are you wearing?"
"Oh i will pay you baby, just tell me you free tonight"

    OR

"One second let me just get ma credit card , i am so sorry i never knew! SORRY!

Then tell this credit card number:
    Visa: 4929211404234661

    Make up the other info.

    And hang up

    (From here: http://www.darkcoding.net/credit-card-numbers/)

    Would LAUGH MY A"SE OFF

Or you could like if you know it is them pick up and act like a chav BUT MAKE SURE you add "blud" and just like "Biatch i am gonna kill you"

If anyone does any, please record it and post a link to youtube. I might do it for a laugh but might not lol should i?

    Well i might lol

So what credit card no is this?
