I listed 2 DVDs on Amazon earlier and have sold one already, making £12.82
.
I'm about to start packing the ebay stuff up, apart from the one who hasn't paid yet. I'll get those parcels and the DVD sent in the post tomorrow. It annoys me when people who are obviously online bidding for items when the auction ends, don't pay immedately even though they know they've won the auction. This bidder waited until the last second to place a bid so obviously are aware they need to pay for it, yet haven't done so yet. It often results in two trips to the post office instead of one.
That said, I've withdrawn £35.50 from paypal to my bank account this evening. The payment I'm waiting on can stay in the paypal account to cover the ebay fees etc.

yay well done. I've been paid for two things tonight, only around £8 but still £8 more towards whatever it's needs to go on.0
-
Exactly! £8 is not to be sniffed at!
Well all of the ebay parcels are wrapped, bar one. Annoyingly, I found a mark on one item whilst wrapping it so have popped it in the wash which will hopefully get it out. If not, I'll email the seller and refund them tomorrow.

I hate it when I find a mark when washing. Usually happens when I have listed in a rush.
Both mine are packaged ready for the morning, I hate rushing to pack them in the mornings.0 -
You sound like you had a productive day. I think I need to borrow you to help sort my flat out!
I know the amounts I quoted were scary, but I think it will be OK. When I got my current flat, I had to borrow 3.5 times my earnings and I must admit that it did stress me a bit until I got the balance under £100k. Particularly as about 6 months after I moved in, I reduced my work hours from 5 to 4 days a week and my salary reduced accordingly.
I have been regularly overpaying the mortgage and it is now down to about £25k. I think my flat will be worth about £170k so if my mortgage is down to, say, £20k by the time I move, I just need to find another £20k. I have some savings and it may be that I need to raid my ISA (which is supposed to be part of my pension). It may also be that I can't borrow as much as I thought and have to buy something cheaper. The thing is, it is going to cost so much to move in fees that I want to get something that will last me 10 years if you see what I mean. Anyway, I'll worry about this later in the year. For now, I will just try to hoard some money towards the house fund.
I think my long hours have now caught up with me and today was a struggle. I have decided that Wednesday is going to be a relaxing day. I might do a few bits and pieces in the morning, but then I am going to relax on the sofa with a DVD and just chill out. Can't wait.Mortgage, draw down Sept 2014: £222,000

Hi DFSD,
Glad you managed to feel well enough to get some things done today. It is always the case with me too - as soon as I take some time off I'm poorlyOh well. I was a little under the weather today too - not so much that I felt I should miss work but spent the whole day feeling much less than 100%. Oh I meant to ask and you probably have mentioned it ages ago but are you a member of bingoport?
Chocs - moving sounds exciting! I'd love to move somewhere bigger but with my income now that is just not possible. Really hope I can get a rise in April - will see. Chocs hope you don't mind me asking but I do some MSing and am looking to sign up to some new sites do you get anything for referrals for the ones you're with? Just thinking you can PM me if you'd like but ok if not

Not a lot of DFW news to relay to you all at the moment...
I'm still waiting for one of the buyers to pay up from the auctions that ended on Sunday. I've sent them a friendly reminder!
My other item currently has bids of up to £7.50. I hope it goes for more than that as it's definitely worth a lot more. There's still 3 days to go though, so fingers crossed.
The bank account is not looking good. Our car insurance is due to come out tomorrow, after which we will be overdrawn. I'm rubbish lately at keeping track of things past a couple of weeks into every month, I really have to try harder next month and get on top of this. Hopefully the council tax 'free' month should cover the overdraft again.
Pay day is a week tomorrow and I wish I didn't have to spend any more money until then, but reality is we'll need petrol before then and also have friends coming to stay overnight this week, so I need to get a few more groceries in and some ingredients to cook a meal for four, potentially six people - some of whom are quite fussy eaters! Either that, or the alternative (and unfortunately, maybe cheaper) idea is if we all go out for a cheap meal somewhere and everyone will pay for themselves. Think that might work out better to be honest.
I am still waiting on the voucher from the survey points which hopefully should arrive soon. Also got screened out of another survey this morning.
Hubby bulk-cooked batches of chilli for the freezer last night, so his lunches are sorted for the next week.Tonight I plan on stealing Chocs' idea and cutting up some veg at the bottom of the fridge to make 'ready stir-fry packs' and freezing them. Thanks Chocs!

I was supposed to make pizza this morning and forgot! Nearly resigned myself that I would just go and buy something at work later, but I found a piece of chicken in the freezer so now am having pasta salad at work and I'll cook at lunch.
Keep up the good work x0 -
Hmmm, pizza. I haven't made any for ages, I make the dough in the breadmaker so it's really easy. We used to make small ones and freeze them for lunches. Yukki, you've inspired me to make some tonight - if I can just pick up some cheese before tonight I might make a batch with the fridge-veg instead! Thanks Yukki! X0
