I got screened out of another survey last night - it's proving harder and harder to make even a little money on those sites now.
I also donated £15 (as promised before payday) to a family member who is currently raising money for a charity very relevant to their situation at the moment.
This morning I picked up a missed parcel from the post office - it was a free big bag of posh coffee from doing a survey a while ago, hubby will be pleased as he is a coffee nut!
Have done the usual comps, so I suppose I'd better do some work...

Went home for lunch today as hubby is poorly and I have the car. Was nice to get out of the office for an hour or so. Not feeling great myself this afternoon either, think hubby's spreading his flu around. :undecided
I've had an email for another survey, will see if I get screened out of that one tonight.
I've finally managed to join our local freecycle too. Have been trying for a while but never seemed to get a response. Finally joined up now and shall be keeping my eyes out for things to swap and donate on there. Sure some of the things we no longer need may be useful to someone else.
Am already waiting for the next payday so that I can pay another chunk of debt off! Only, err, 4 weeks to go then...:o

Halfway through the working week today (do you think I'm counting?!)...
Just as expected, got screened out of another survey last night. Filled a few more quick matches in so I might get a few more sent to me, we'll see.
Had shopping delivered too, which came in at £60.03. The packs of chicken thighs we usually buy were BOGOF at £3 a big pack, so we ordered 3 packs and got 3 free.We then split them up into meal-size portions for the two of us and put them in the freezer like that, they last us for weeks then. In our pre-MSE days we used to just shove a whole pack of meat in the freezer, then end up overeating or wasting half of it when we had to defrost the lot in one go!
I know it's not very DFW of me, but I'm considering joining weekly slimming meetings.I am struggling to lose the weight and keep motivated when doing it alone - I manage a week or so of being good then all progress goes out of the window. BUT I can't really afford it at the moment and my confidence is at zero, so finding the will to actually go and join up is terrifying me at the moment. Hubby has offered to come with me for support (and it wouldn't hurt him to lose a few pounds either) but all I can see is the incredible waste of money that this will be. But the other side of the argument is, that if it helps me to lose weight and regain some confidence then it's worth it. There's a slimming world class very local to us that is on tonight - so I've got all day to pluck up the courage... tomorrow's diary entry will reveal whether I had the guts or not I guess!

Went home for lunch again today, so nice to 'escape' from the idiots for an hour!
Had a yummy jacket potato I'd already cooked last night, just heated it up for lunch.
Spoke to hubby about the slimming world thing - he is all up for us joining but I pointed out that we really can't afford it at the moment. So, we've decided that we'll continue with the online thing, put a real effort into it this month and see how we go. If I'm still not losing weight then I shall join before Christmas when they often have offers on. Sorted.
So, I've logged all my food online and re-read the literature, think I understand it a bit better now. I left hubby at home reading the Slimming World magazine (which I got free - very MSE!) for recipe inspiration.
I've entered lots more comps today, as and when I can. No more wins yet but hopefully we'll start wining a few bits again soon.
My plan to keep busy and 'off the sofa' tonight includes dusting through the house and maybe cleaning the bathrooms - didn't get round to it the other night. Also cooking the (slimming world friendly;)) dinner and maybe cleaning the kitchen and hall floors if I get round to it. Need to write a letter to my cousin too as she is poorly at the moment and could do with some cheering up I think.
Hope everyone has a good night

Well, I didn't get any of my list of 'things to do' done last night! Had a nice relaxing evening instead - cooked a healthy meal, caught up on some comps and sorted a few things out that needed doing.
I have the day off tomorrow, so technically Friday for me today. :T I will need to buy petrol tomorrow for the weekend as will be doing a lot of driving. We had a Sainsbury's '5p off per litre' ticket with our shopping delivery this week so shall be going there tomorrow.
£7-something is due to be paid in from Quidco this month, should be another £15 too but that hasn't been received yet, so I guess that will roll over to next month again. Can't afford to use that little bit to pay any more off credit card yet, will need the money for the rest of the month I think.
I've received notification of two more surveys waiting for me, so shall do those tonight IF they're still open and IF I don't get screened out first! That'll bring in another £1.60, all going well.
I did a survey with a different company yesterday for '100 points' but have no idea how much that equates to as only just started doing stuff through that site.
I'm making a big batch of soup tonight, some for my dinner, some to freeze for lunches next week. I had a leek in the fridge which was going over a bit last week, so I chopped it up and froze it, so will bung that in the soup too.
My Lloyds loan payment came out yesterday and new balance is showing today, but after the £168.50 being paid, the balance is £68.88 MORE than it was last month!I know it's related to the interest as Lloyds charge the interest monthly - not front loaded - but surely the interest shouldn't be that much at 8.9% on £8539 which is outstanding? I don't understand how it works - it's not the first time that it's gone up either. The sooner we start to overpay this, the better.

Just signed up for a lovely Burt's Bees freebie gift pack worth £24.99 from the freebies board, hopefully I'll receive that one and it'll go in my present box. I have a friend who loves Burt's Bees stuff - it's her birthday in May - so this would be ideal. Although would be nice to treat myself with some *nice* products for a change from Sainsbury's value range!
Has been a NSD today, won't be tomorrow as need to buy petrol.
This loan balance thingy is puzzling me, I may go and enquire about it on the Loans board, but they seem a little harsh over there sometimes and may shoot me down for being thick!:o:o

Thanks BTD, that's very kind of you. I must say my motivation is waning a little at the moment, but I know I don't have a lot of choice but to plug on.
Good luck with your debt-busting too.

Have just completed two more surveys - one for 80 points (80p:p) and one which was just for entries to a draw. It all helps I guess.
I've cooked a huge pan of soup, there's lots of portions ready for lunches next week after having a big bowl for dinner. :T Day 2 of the diet is going well so far, the weekend will be the real test!
Have a good weeked everyone
