Just remembered I owe hubby £20 when I get paid, so will have £30 left after paying / buying everything next month. (Hope I don't *remember* anything else that's over £30!

Still no news about my Mum this morning, shall hear how she is and what is to be done later on.
This morning I've entered lots of competitions for a strangely therapeutic hour or so. Am trying to keep myself as calm and relaxed as possible as I've started getting what I can only describe as 'flutterings' in my chest and head which I'm sure are anxiety related. I have had them before, not always when I'm anxious or worried though, and can almost 'control' them for want of explaining it better, but I find if I keep my breathing deep and controlled then they pass. I'm just odd I guess! :rolleyes2
Anyway, also heard that the mattress we ordered via a deal on the grabbit boards a month ago is being delivered this Saturday. :T Finally we will be able to move back into our own room from the spare room!
We have a groceries delivery coming tonight so will have some nice fresh veg in again. Also some more interesting lunches... not particularly looking forward to my tin of cheapy veg soup today but it's healthy and only cost me 17p!
Last night we used up the remainder of Sunday's roast chicken, with a few random mushrooms and spears of asparagus on their last legs in the fridge, with abit of garlic and herbs thrown in for flavour! Then I boiled up the bones of the chicken and left on the hob for an hour or so to make chicken soup with it tonight.I love that we now (usually) use the whole of the bird.
We need a no spend weekend this weekend, so I guess we'll make some nice food with stuff we'll have in and have a cosy weekend. Maybe play some board games and watch a DVD or something. We have a few jobs to do in the garden so we can get stuck into those too. I just hope my Mum is much better by then and progress has been made with her tretament.

I'm excited about my leftover packed lunch today - how sad am I!! Last night's chicken curry, made using Sainsbury's 4p curry sauce...mmmm
(which has recently gone up to 9p I see ... boooo.).
Well I haven't spent any money this week, so the 'no spend 'til pay day' rule is going ok so far. The weekend will be the real test although I'm trying to plan things to do that'll keep me busy and away from temptation. Hubby is out on Sunday, so I am thinking a bit of painting may be on the cards. I have the paint already, not entirely sure if I have any paint trays or roller things left though...
Could also give the house a good clean, lots of washing if the weather's nice and maybe do some batch cooking... any other suggestions to keep me out of trouble will be most welcome.
No real news on my Mum yet, she had a bad day yesterday though.
Have been entering lots more competitions this morning, am enjoying it at the moment, but when it becomes a chore again I guess I'll have a break from it for a little while.
Grocery delivery came last night. Spent the grand total of £46-something inc. delivery. Lots of lovely fresh fruit and veg.Have bought a few packs of dried beans and pulses to make some cheap yet healthy recipes I've found on the ww site this month. Thought I could batch freeze some of these for lunches too.
We defrosted a piece of lamb shoulder last night and it's (hopefully) cooking away nicely in the slow cooker for dinner tonight.
Off to count the minutes until my packed lunch...

Friday at last.
So, this morning I had an email from the last Amazon buyer saying cd was faulty. Have duly refunded him £2-something.
On the plus side, Quidco has validated an earnings enquiry for £15 for the WW membership that wasn't tracking. Says payout in October for now but wouldn't be surprised if it gets moved on.
Did spend a little bit last night - just under £4, so my NSD didn't quite happen yesterday.
Have entered lots of competitions this morning again and will do so at lunch time. Must be due another win soon!

debtfreesomeday wrote: »Well, I had a lovely weekend - all the family feeling relatively well for a change, lots of laughs, lots of relaxation... and now back to Monday with a bump - Mum really ill again today (likely to end up being rushed back into hospital)
, work is awful (the immature idiots I work with have taken to passing notes to each other about me today like schoolkids - they're in their 30s, one with a child !!!!!!!). I'm not feeling particularly well myself today - I was up at 4am feeling rough for some unknown reason. The budget has been well and truly blown this weekend (I got into that 's0d it' state of mind) and we'll be overdrawn by quite a bit this month.
Goodness, I hate Mondays.

Hi Twinkle, believe it or not my bunch of idiots are all men! I only work with two women and don't have a lot in common with them unfortunately.
Hope your lot give you an easy week next week, it really does your head in when you have to put up with them 5 days a week doesn't it?!

I'm really worried about my Mum today. She didn't have a good day yesterday and my stomach is in knots this morning I'm so anxious. I was awake worrying most of the night so am not feeling my best this morning either. Just trying to get through the days at the moment.
Onto money-saving stuff, not a whole bunch done on that front this weekend. In fact I spent £45 yesterday that I shouldn't have, but bought myself some new shoes (that I really needed - my other two pairs had so many holes in) and a light for the house which we didn't need, but it was reduced in the clearance section in a DIY shop and we planned on buying one next month anyway. To be honest, I was past caring about money this weekend. Wrong attitude I know.
Also been buying (and eating:o) chocolate and crisps like they're going out fashion last week and the weekend. That's stopping this week for money and diet reasons.
It's my pay day this week, hubby's the following week this month as they work to an odd system in his place of work which really doesn't help the budget very much:mad:. Money has been allocated already as usual, although I need to go over it at the weekend as I'm sure we'll be a little more overdrawn than I originally thought so I'll need to adjust things. House insurance is also due next month, but we have the money saved for that already.
Not in the mood to enter comps and such today, just going to will the day to be over quickly.

Sorry I haven't caught up for a while. Sorry to hear about your Mum, hope you get some better news soon x
Sometimes the budget doesn't matter so don't beat yourself up about it. Start afresh again tomorrow etc.0 -
Thanks YB X0
