I am sorry but, without wanting to cause a stir, I really do not understand why and how a company can get away with conferming orders, ie something very close to signing a legally binding contract, and then walk away saying "sorry I don't have it in stock". If it is not legally enforceable it goes to say a lot about the company we're dealing with - and I am not say that is the case for empirestores.

You try and do it yourself on ebay a couple of times and see what happens.

Linking the back end of a website to the live stock database is not such a difficult thing to do and I say this with an IT hat on.

If they do not deliver confirmed orders I might not fail a small claims court order but surely I'll think twice before ordering again from them - will they have it when they confirm it? What does the price on the site mean if it is just as likely they will not deliver the orders?

All they are doing is aknowledging your order to say they have recieved it..

Why you have to make a big deal out of it.

If you get the items its a bonus. If you dont have you lost anything?? NO
  • Haven't had a single email confirmation today either. I definitely put my email address in.

I've had a few problems with delayed emails lately, wouldn't have known but they were also cc'd to my work email addy.

I did wonder if it was a glitch with AOL who are, for my sins, my email provider  :-[

I am also with AOL and have had NO confirmation emails of my 3 different clothing orders.

Went onto AOL live help and they seem to think that AOL is blocking auto generated email from Empire as it believes it is spam! They are reporting it for me.
