well i know its not bathroom related, but in the old days before fitted kitchens, my dad built ours, this must have been early 70s. he painted the kitchen cupboard doors, green and orange, alternating. and it wasnt even a nice green, it was sort of a dark lime green,,, urgh0

Whats even sadder is everyone loved the coloured suites then and to have a white suite was a definite no no lol0 -

We still have the original Avocado bathroom suite which was installed when we bought our house from new 30 years ago. And the en-suite one is in a lighter Sage Green. (Think the builder must have liked green!). The trouble is that both suites are still in such good condition that in these difficult times we can't bring ourselves to throw good money away by replacing them. And as we are mostly the only people who see them, we're not really into keeping up with the Jones. Most fashions go in cycles, so if we hang on long enough, perhaps things will go full circle and everybody will get bored with white and revert back to coloured bathrooms again:rotfl:0

It's very cheap and tacky looking, as well as the interesting colour....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

I think Dave's sneaked in my house and taken a photo of my downstairs bathroom
Even have the same tiles up the side!
Upstairs we have the classic 80s avocaddo suite, complete with corner bath and gold taps

We were planning to replace the upstairs one this year but thought we'd hold off on the expenditure given the current economic climate - let's face it, it's still a bath and the toilet works fine

It's not a nice bathroom but at £450 pcm it is a bargain.

Hope you get the rest of the house thrown in with the rent, though (-:...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

If you stare at the lounge carpet long enough, it turns into a picture of dolphins.
And matching curtains.
