  • i am just lucky my husband wasnt there also...coz he is a nightmare always wants more than my sons and adds about £20 on each time!! he is banned from shopping ...although happy to be so !

    I generally prefer to shop on my own too - for exactly the same reason! Funny the way we can write a list, take it to the shop, buy only the things on that list, and go home again, yet taking even one man, of any age, with you adds at least an extra bag of stuff and blow the budget!

    Your idea of using the leftovers from the shopping to help your overpayments is excellent - it'll be the best incentive imaginable to cut your weekly spend even more, too!

  • hi there, quick weekly update...have paid £130.00 into double glazing fund today...so now £300 total not bad after 3 weeks! also made £25 o/p on mortgage.

    unfortunately have been christmas shopping so this is taking a lot of my spare cash..what a bad time of year!!

  • hi there everybody...another shopping day .... another £5.00 cashback in 50p's for my post...looks like there is about £30 in there ...dont want to count as i find once i know what is there that is when i use it for something else!!!! i am finding that i am getting a bit obsessed with getting extra 50p's - always asking for them now in my change when i pay in cash!!!
