Hi all been catching up on the posts and I have to say I can't believe what is being said.
Everyone has their own opinions for which we should respect, but we still all have to get along otherwise what is the point of being on this forum if its going to be arguments all the time.
We all have debts some higher than others but you also still have to have a sense of humour sometimes.
Put it this way sometimes I wonder where I'm going to get money for milk or bread and it is always a struggle to cope being skint all the time, however I just get on with it because I've got no choice.
I hope this is understood what I'm trying to say and it is not intended to upset anyone on this forum, mearly to put things into perspective here:wave:0 -

I really need this extra one from Firstplus and then I am done and dusted except for the unmentionables which I am still considering but not banking on. I am banking on the Firstplus rebate though - I really feel robbed by them.
You are not a killjoy Marshallka, things are bad here too and I am desperate for a result in the next few months. xxDS1 12/10/04

Hi all - a wee update. Went to the GP on Friday and they have prepared a letter for me to send to both Egg and Sainsburys (well, the FOS in relation to my case against Sainsburys) to confirm that at the time of sale, a pre-existing medical condition would have meant that I was ineligible for cover under those policies.
This is being sent to both parties tomorrow, and will hopefully be of some use and hold some weight in the case.Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -

I've had a secured loan with First plus for 4 years now, plus ppi which I wish I never had,. I rang for a settlement today and blow me I owe more than I borrowed still. After reading the forums here, and gaining some understanding, I asked what interest was being charged etc. They calculate under rule 78, thought that only applied to loans under 25k or am I wrong?? and I thought that as of April 2008 all secure loans in uk could only be charged a max 1 months interes ton early repayments. They said that it was because I applied formy loan in the Jan 05 and the new ruling came out in the May 05. I just want to pay the loan off, is there any legal advice out there as I know I'm not on my own with this problem and with the sam e company. Also they as now called 'uk secure lending'.
Can someone please advise me or point me in the right direction, my payments have risen to £378.00 p/mth at 9.5%, I pay more now than I ever have done.
