    Hello Di,
Happy New Year:-) I am fine thanks hon.

I sent the very first letter on 3rd Dec, they replied with a 'no, go away, or write back with more info'.. So I did. That letter went the week before xmas. It drives you mad doesn't it, hoping each day the postman will bring you a letter!

    xx

Mine says that on the back of the FIrstplus agreement I have but on the actual application form there are boxes to tick for asking for the PPI and agreeing to it etc. These are left blank and not ticked or crossed. Just cause it says it there is nothing. They could have added this still without your consent or wanting it.

I applied for the loan online from what i remember. There are no tick boxes anywhere on the credit agreement. So, does that mean the PPI was included without consent and i have a claim?

    Many thanks

Mine are 8/500, I have dissolvable, I think they go into your system quicker than tablet form.

The lady at boots told me when I bought some that if you join the Health Club (part of the advantage card) you can get co-codamol half price:eek:
8/500 are not too strong...just don't get addicted...;)

I would say there is a good chance that if you did not ask for the PPI that it was missold to you. Was it just included and you assumed it was compulsory to the loan??

If it was then just take a look at the link here and see what you can add and delete from the template letter. Its always best to do your own from this. There are lots of reason on there for the misselling so pick out the ones that are applicable to yours.

You then write to the firm that actually made the sale of the PPI to you if this is different from the lender and don't forget to send this recorded delivery so you always a proof and dates etc.

After that you have to give them 8 weeks for a full and final response. In this time it is usual to get a response of "sorry we sold this to you fairly" but you then respond to this and reiterate your complaint again. The next time they write they either give you a final response which you would need in order to take this complaint to the FOS or offer to settle.

    Good luck

Is that the same as read receipt.... I did that with Firstplus and FOS too and sometimes they just ignore and press no to the receipt back...
  • I tried to get money back from Barclays who told me I wouldnt get the loan without insurance. I have just had a letter from them telling me that they have done nothing wrong. Is it worth going to the Banking Ombusdman?

I have just sent an email to M & S Money giving them seven days to deal with my complaint or I will forward everything to FOS who I have already spoken to.

It is over eight weeks since I sent my first letter.

Do you think I am pushing them too hard & could this jepoardise my complaint?
No I don't think you are pushing too hard as they have had the eight weeks already and that is what the 8 weeks are for. A full and final response.;)
