I have been passed to another case officer and have been asked to give them another 2 weeks. I have sent them another letter and enclosed the letter from the ombudsman. When I send the letters recorded delivery the woman at the post office says they are going to the RBS. So it is them I am dealing with.
Lots of tesco complaints just lately... .

    Good Morning all:j

Ding Ding Ding Round 2 Here Goes

    I received a statement in sept 08

    I pay £258.29 p/m

    £45.88 of this is ppi

My closing balance as of sept 08 was £4918.08

On the 20th jan 09 i pay another installment so i would have another 4 payments to come of the balance £4918.08

The end date of this legal, criminal, theft of a loan is up in dec 2010

Im trying to mess around with the figures and it makes no sense,

Can any of you ppi guru's roughly work out

A = If i cancel and get my ppi back, what the payments could be for my initial loan.

B = if i were to cancel ppi but keep my payments at £258.29 how long would i have left on the loan.

I wont hold anyone to these figures so your all safe :rotfl: :rotfl:

And if your all worried about people not coming forward to this and claiming,

Dont worry, if what im trying to achieve with the big cats pays off then it will keep you all busy :rotfl: :rotfl:
Boo, will have a look later cause my brain is not properly engaged yet...
Don't know if I can help but will certainly take a look..;)
  • Hi
I really need some advice , back in 2003 I took out HP on a london Taxi I was sold PPi at the same time, the agent who I dealt with at the Taxi dealership.
The HP has been settled back in 2006 apart from £2.161 the PPI cost. I had refused to pay this as being self-employed I was never covered by the PPI. I wrote to the finance company Black horse explaing that the PPI did'nt cover the self-employed.
I receved a letter back telling me I was covered by the sickness part of policy but not the unemployed part so I was'nt mis-sold. I should have writtern back but I rang them instead and was told that the balance on my account was zero. All settled I thought.
Fast foward to 2009 and I find that Black horse have that £2.161 as a default on my credit file , I've heard nothing from them for over 2yrs, no demanding letters nothing. How can I get this removed from my credit file?

Ollie, you could request a SAR from them too which is all the information they hold on you. It may throw something up.

You need to send another letter now to reiterate your complaint and ask them for a final response and then if you can take this to the FOS.

    What date was the loan??

    Hi,

Will there be an issue because I went to the branch and all my loan was agreed verbally? Essentially it's my word against Black Horse.

I've been following the steps on this website so, should I now go and send for the SAR and also enclose the stage 2 letter as well?

    Thanks

I think the asking of that question would be better on the loans thread as there are lots who could answer for you.

As regards the PPI then being 2003 and Blackhorse I know there are a few on here that are having to use the courts for them as they were not regulated by the FSA at that time. You really need to write another letter to them saying you were missold and then take it from there. Idon't know how you stand with it being in dispute and that is why did not pay???

    Good luck

There still may be something but I suppose with it being done in the bank then there is a chance there is not??

Your SAR request may be better in a letter of its own though if you are going ahead with this but would not want you to waste £10 in doing this..

    What date was the loan?

I see tesco so many times just of late and it seems the case with them that they are not upholding the complaints and often taking longer than 8 weeks to look into these.

I hope you get some where with the stage two letter and also if not the FOS. I think you are prepared for the wait but it may be worth it in the end.

    Good luck

Surely it is about time that FSA investigated Tesco PF for mis-selling PPI?

The loan was taken out January 2006, I don't mind paying the £10 but I just have the issue that the loan was all done face to face and not over the phone.

    Cheers.

It may be worth us giving them a ring. Can I just ask was your case dealt with the RBS as mine seems to be

I totally agree. They seem to be doing just as they please and not following the rules set out by the FSA in complaints handling.
