Just read on CAG that pompeyfaith has had his complaint passed to an adjudicator now so that is good news.

    Good Evening All

Hope you are all having a good 2009 so far.

I have a long thread going on the other consumer group (consumer action group) regarding my PPI claim with the Co-operative Bank, and decided to come here also to post about my claim and also see if i can offer any help to people over here.

Ill start with a bit of background in may 1990 I had a stroke which has left me with a stiff right hand and wrist, drop foot and a curvature in my back which is not now getting any better after 18 yrs of full time employment i am now finding it increasingly had at work.

In September 2007 i was made redundant from a very good and enjoyable job so i got numerous agency jobs to keep the cash flow going but that dried up last year due to the worsening economy.

So in the end i decided to go see my GP and get signed off work so i could use the time to get physiotherapy which i really needed as the bones in my hand where getting quite deformed.

This was in July 2008 i am now on long term IB and been told to claim DLA by my GP.

Now getting back to the PPI from the above you can clearly see i was Mis sold these policies I tried claiming on my current PPI policy but was told I did not qualify as i had a previous medical condition:eek: now since January 2000 ive had 8 loans with the bank some i paid up early some i re-financed into another.

Im trying to claim all this money back which totals £16,691.88 statutory or £20,237.13 contractual plus 8% simple which makes a total of £21,856.10

Im going for the contractual amount because of the condition it was sold to me i.e the stroke after many letters to and throw it is at deadlock so i have now refered it to the FOS the co-op bank have documentary evidence of my stroke so im finding it hard to understand why they will not pay me back i can only assume its because of the large amount of money involved.

They are now putting pressure on my current account because of this as the account numbers for my loan are the same bar the last two degits because i have a £460 agreed overdraft that stands at £580 and £380 of that is charges they are harrasing me with phone calls telemessages and letters even a default warning.

The account is in dispute due to these charges and pending the outcome of the OFT Court Case.

Anyway if i can assit anyone i will because as you can see ive had plenty of expierence :D

    Regards

    Pompeyfaith

P.S if you want to have a read of my ppi claim you can find it by searching for pompeyfaith at CAG.
    Here is the story...

He was fast tracked and this is a case that needed fast tracking...;) :j

From reading on CAG I have noted that it seems that FOS are now upholding complaints of PPI misselling but advising people to take out alternative cover elsewhere. I think this is a good thing as if we have loans we do need something in place. ;)

    Hi Marshallka

Am OK Ta. How you doing. Just popped on quickly been watching Big Brother and thought I would pop in here whilst waiting for the second show.

With Boo I wondered if he tried to cancel PPI and refinance without SAR they could diddle his figures. What do you think. Do you think it would be better the other way round:confused: Am sure it is just me I do not trust any of them really:rolleyes:

Its a vicious circle really. I remember that Di had comments from Lloyds that the adjudicator had to read saying that she did not bother to cancel when she knew it was of no use and wondered why she had done this.

    It was just a thought...

Perhaps he could write and say that he wanted to cancel it once he received the SAR that way it is covered both ways.
