Hi all...just after a bit of advice.

I have started a claim with HFC to see if I can get my PPI back. I sent them my first letter on 30th October 2008. It is now over the 8 weeks and I haven't got a reply from them. All I keep getting are letters telling me that they are looking into my complaint but they are yet to resolve it  .

As it is over the 8 weeks I was wondering if I should send my stage 2 letter in? Are they just trying to fob me off by telling me they are still looking into it? Or am I just being impatient by sending them another letter?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
No your not being impatient. Most companies are trying to fob us off by saying that they need more time and are looking into our cases. I'm getting this from Tesco PF. I sent them a second letter yesterday along with a letter from the ombudsman. By using these tactics I think they are hoping that we will give up. Send another letter but give the ombudsman a ring on 0207 964 100 and let them know whats happening, they may write to the company on your behalf. Good luck and don't give up
  • Hi Pinkaddict, I sent my letter to HFC on the 10th November and recieved the standard reply ummm will look into the claim.

I rang them yesterday and they claimed that they had not recieved the letter dated 02/01/09. Said that it could take 7-10 to get into their system.

Suggested that I send the letter again, all letters were sent recorded. Stalling tactic?
SPC £500 well will try very hard.

    GC £6.16/£150
  • However ,she did ask which account the claim was for( I didnt realise that there were two accounts hee heee.

At the end of the conversation I asked her give me the acount number. Ha ha.

    Hi Showergirl

I've done my second letter and will be posting it off tonight. I've also downloaded the complaint form from FOS in perperation. I'm not confident that HFC will come back with an offer, so getting prepared  . I'll also try giving the ombudsman a ring, thanks for the suggestion.

Hello Maxdp, How are your claims going? Hope you are ok and that you have enough work in these tough times. xx

Hi Pinknico. Am fine thank you, and you?

Claims are progressing, waiting to hear back from counsel to see if we can go to court:eek:.

We have been very very lucky with work at the moment. We are booked until the end of March which is wonderful. Mind you I suppose there will always be a need for nurses and training etc:confused: I just keep my fingers crossed every day that we get our stuff sorted so that we are living without debt:eek:

Been to the local hossie. I know it takes longer to get the results back to the docs but could not be bothered to catch two buses to the main hospital. I am all done and dusted now and just have to wait.

    Has Di been on yet??

Or is she busy with her son and teaching...;)
