  • Having sent my 1st letter to Northern Rock, they have now sent me a lengthy form to fill in to give them details of my complaint. Anyone else had this, or got any advice on it?

    Cheers!

    Hi there
I hear this is becoming a very common thing, "questionaires", but I also know that not everyone fills these in, but returns them with a letter to say, "I sent you a letter and the details are on that"
Its up to you and your choice, but think these are used for stalling tactics.

Even if you did not fill it in, they still have 8 weeks to respond to your first letter.
Don't let them bully you into having to complete the form, I see it as they have already got the details from when you applied.

If you want to see what others think here hun, I will leave that for you to decide, but these questionaires in my opinion are time wasting.

Good luck with your reclaim here and hope you win, as you know even if they did not respond after the full 8 weeks you can then still to continue to take your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman service.
The questionaire should not hold this up.;)

I presume this lengthy form is actually similar to a demands and needs statement thing in that if they had given you this at the time of the loan then it may have proved useful but I cannot understand these firms sending these out AFTER you have already been given the loan and also when you are actually complaining to them about it. I would not personally fill this in but rather send it back with a letter to state that your complaint still stands and that they should have all the information they need from when you took out the loan. Its up to you but just continue the complaint and also only give them 8 weeks from when you first complained to finalise the complaint.

    Good luck

  • Thanks for your help Di & Marshalka - sorry to hear you've been poorly too - there is certainly something going around at the moment - we've been suffering as well!

I too suspect that the form was a timewasting excercise - it asks stuff like who the policy is with (I can hardly believe they don't know that!) and things like that. I think I will send it back to them blank stating that they already have the answers to the questions in their records, and that the exact and precise nature of my complaint is in the letter to them dated...... And reminding them that the 8 weeks is running! ;)

    Cheers!

    Hi

If you had PPI and re financed several times the money paid back in your bank account was probably PPI. Can you go back over your bank accounts. Six years if you have Internet banking and check dates etc.

You need to make sure you reclaim all these together as if they were re financed that would make a difference to your claim.

i was speaking to the bank and they said something like that so i called up customer relations and told them i would like to include the first two loan on the present claim dont no if this is bad or good as am not too good on these things, what i did will it make my case weeker or stronger as i thought it was the bank paying back the money so i dont no let me no please thanks in advance

    Hi there hun
To save me going back on posts, do you actually mean you want them to deal with 2 PPI complaints in one?
That is fine, and you can always request for copies of the breakdown/calculations as well, so we know what is what.;)

If I have mis read this hun, let me know, cheers.:o :D
