If you went into teaching you would rewrite the whole curriculum;)

I havent seen any evidence of you having trouble learning, when I first came on here I thought you and Di were professional advisors;)

You have a very inquiring mind and challenge everything. That is what I was meaning. There is nothing wrong with that at all if you do not challenge things they stay the same. That is how things evolve.

I could just imagine you rewriting lots of the lessons and challenging some of the ......facts......that they teach our children.

You are excellent with figures and lots more as well Marshallka:T
My inquiring mind is my problem cause I will not let things rest... let alone myself.. .

I will challenge anything where I feel I have good reason to and will always explain my "good reasons" to anyone that dismisses them until they come round to my way of thinking..:D or at least see where I am coming from..if you know what i mean. I have to know things and if I do not "know" them they play on my mind until I do and sometimes that is a bad thing cause some things just cannot be actually "known" and I have to make do with "think I know".

  • have had another email from FOS re our claim against Firstplus - here goes::rolleyes:

    Message
issued my findings on your complaint to Firstplus on 2 October 2008. I said that it was my view that your complaint should be upheld.
Despite me chasing it, Firstplus has not responded to my view on the grounds that it does not agree with our general view and/or stance on PPI complaints such as yours.
In light of this our Senior Management is currently in meetings with Firstplus about it reasons/issues for seemingly not agreeing to or accepting our findings. Essentially it is this matter which must be resolved before we are able to progress your complaint, and the others like it, any further.
We will, however, progress your complaint further as soon as possible.

So it looks like FP are playing a very dangerous game - what happened to the FSA ruling of 'Treating customers fairly'!!!!!

Yours has been upheld then...thats great news in a way and there is no way they should get away with this as this would make a mockery of the whole of the FOS... so you should get your money back here...:D :j (I see it as a win that may be held up a little while)

catinthehat, this is so interesting and lets us all know what the hold up is with the complaints against FIrstplus. (although mine is with the insurer I think and even that has jurisdiction issues!!).

Just goes to show you FOS does not have as much clout as we first thought..???

If all these complaints are upheld and it is won with the senior management of the FOS then I think that people should be getting extra money for all this inconvenience that THEY are causing and unnecessary stress. Why are they so different to all other firms - why should they be treated different - if a complaint is upheld then it means they should do like any other company and pay up. That is the whole point of the FOS or do they not realise that.

I wish the FSA would step in and do something here...Firstplus just aren't bothered what they do anymore, they have nothing to lose, I just feel sorry for anyone that still has a loan with them..

Marshallka Why is this complaint different that yours. Am not up to scratch on catinthehat. First plus is either an issue or not. Some people seem to get help others do not. I do not understand:confused: Though saying that good luck to Catinthehat.:D

  • they had sent me an email (FOS) that is last week, saying that there was a hold up with a 'regulatory matter'!! So I sent them an email asking what does that mean in 'Layman' terms, and this was their reply, but I still don't know exactly what 'our case and others' is!!! But you a right, so the FOS can say we should get our money back, but clearly Firstplus have decided that they are going to challenege them!!! Surely this shows that they are on dangerous ground, I think that if they agree to ours, then the flood gates will open - what do you think??
