  • Has any1 tried to claim back ppi's from Welcome finance, GE Money (they say it's Sterling ins that covered our ppi, not sure if they are fobbing us off), & Vanquis credit card, if so how long did the case take to complete?

It sounds like they are fobbing you off. If your claiming back ppi and it was sold to you by Welcome or GE money then they have to deal with your complaint.

Your ppi cover was probably with another company however the companies that mis-sold the ppi are the ones that have to deal and answer.

You have to give the company 8wks to issue a response have they issued a final response

    Hope this helps

I wish you the best of luck;) .

Hi marshallka (and all). I posted a query about PPI on an item I bought instore from Dixons. Just an update from Currys - who operate the old Dixons stores as everyone knows.

I received a letter today, but I'm not sure on a couple of things...

    1) It says that {quote} "the agreement contained all the T&C's of the policy, which you signed to say you have read and understood" - this is fine, as I expected this response as it is the norm.

    2) This is where I'm not sure.... They say {quote} "the agreement was signed over 48 months ago, therefore due to the time that has expired we would not be able to assist in this matter". Is this the case? Or are they trying to pull a fast one?

If anyone has any advice it would be appreciated!
Proud to be dealing with my debts. Started: Nov 08

There is a time limit however, the time limit does not start until you first became aware of the problem.

Right does this letter state final response on it?

If not then you need to write again and tell them you are not happy and need a final response in order to take this complaint to the FOS.

    What date was this applied..???

Mind you my ironing pile is still there lol :rotfl: must sort it soon

I was starting to get annoyed with FP I was starting to let it get to me, so I'm now patient again and calm lol :rotfl:

Got my hospital appointment through for begin of jan 09, went to see my nutty doc on tues, seeing him again in jan lol:rotfl: been off work 1yr on 14 dec 07 don't know where it has gone.

Have the co-op coughed up yet for you?

And my daughter and son hog the laptop now, sometimes I just can't be bothered to fight with them lol.
Its good to take a break and look after other things too. I am terrible for the amount of time I spend on here. I don't know how Di manages with her son as well and all the time on here.

I bet you are glad to get your hossie appointment through. Not nice but best over and done with hopefully. ;) Are you planning on going back to work dreamer or taking a bit of a break??

Have you written to Sterling Insurance as if they sold the policy then you need to make the complaint to them.
