Gurkhaman_Swaroop wrote: »Hi marshallka,
Thank you for your helpful reply and the link. I am using the templates provided, filling the details that apply to me. I am now sending First Direct the second stage letter today. I shall keep you all posted.
I also noticed that I am paying PPI on my credit cards, however, I shall tackle that once my First Direct issue is satisfactorily sorted.
Cheers. Take care and good luck with your situation.
As regards your credit card ones, might be best to make a complaint asap if the timescales are not on your side as these are always taken from the actual time your PPI was applied to the card and you cannot just go back 6 years if it was actually applied say 8 years ago.
Let us know how you go on..0 -
Thanks for your quick reply as well hun.;)
Wow, Newport is just down the road from me and that's where my hubby used to work.:D
Angina, bless you, my father has that and its not nice is it ?, hope the condition improves.;) Your doing the right thing by going to the Gym, unfortunately my father is oxygen dependent due to a number of respiratory problems and has someone coming to the house to help him exercise as they say its essential to the condition.
Well done you.;)
Also the best of luck with your claims, I intend to get back later to help out here, as poor Marshallka bless her - I have left her to it....:o , but she is such a lovely understanding person, and has a lot to deal with on her plate too, so I will get back here later to help where I can.;)
Need to pop out for a little while shortly, but please feel free to chat anytime, cheers and you take care.xx:A

Thanks Di. Sorry to hear about your father's condition, I can empathise. Sure, I found exercise does help. I have got a gravity strider and stepper at home in case I am not able to make it to the gym some days. However, I have handed in my notice as the gym is quite expensive, I am thinking of investing in a home treadmill or an exercise bike and cross trainer combined, 2 in 1 kind of equipment. Next time we visit Newport, I'll give you a shout, if that is okay?
Sorry for digressing. I shall now go to the post office soon to post the second stage letter to First Direct. Catch you later. :A0 -

Thank you so much. Ah, the credit card one maybe over the time limit because I have a sneaky feeling that I have had this particular card for a long time! Anyway, will keep you posted and you do likewise. :A0 -
marshallka wrote: »You can write a reclaim letter without the agreements but I would also send a letter out asking for copies of the agreements too. This would probably be best seperate and also send both recorded delivery. Ask for the copy agreements under section 77/78 of the Consumer Credit Act and they have to oblige in 12 days. When you write the reclaim letter then state the name and correct address of the loan(s) at the time the loans were taken out.
Thank you very much marshallka, advice is very helpful. Will let you know how I get on.0 -
marshallka wrote: »A lot of people are getting these now useless questionaires. I would just send back another letter reiterating your complaint and also state that the quetionnaire is of little relevance to you or them now as you already have the loan and PPI and if it was asked at the time of the sale then fair enough. Just fill it in if you like but I find it really cheeky of them to ask these questions after giving out the loans already.
Thanks, should I just send back a letter saying how the questionnaire isn't relevant and attach a copy of the same letter I sent before to it? Or should I send the 2nd template letter as well?
I want things to move on a.s.a.p as I am a student in financial hardship.0 -

Hi there
Sorry I have not read all the posts yet, just signed back in now, but if this goes as far as the financial ombudsman, I would let them know on the complaint form of your financial situation/harship and request for "fast track", hopefully they will look into this quicker for you.;)
There are hugh volumes of these PPI complaints at present being dealt with by the FOS, but still worth mentioning, hopefully it will not come to that and with a bit of luck you will get a favourable response first time.
Please keep us posted - in order to help you to the following step.
Good luck

Hi there and thank you again.;)
Its a great idea to invest in an home gym we have one here at home and I find when I'm feeling tensed I will have a little go myself, it helps, of course I do suffer with High BP, but know when to stop.;)
Your right these Gyms are sooooo expensive, you certainly have the right idea.:D
Yes, please do give me a shout the next time you visit Newport that would be lovely - cheers.:D .
Take care hunni.
