just had mail
blackhorse letter
in the absence of any evidence in support of the claim i regret to advise our position remains unchanged as to that in our previous reply.final response.
this company is unbelievable, i have asked for all records held on existing & previous accounts, so i can clearly point out the mis-selling, to which i have recieved no documentation. also asked for SAR to which im still waiting.
how can you give a final response without giving information asked for this company think there so above themselves its a joke.
need to get some sort of petition against certain company's & get watchdog to investigate them.

thanx Di, it does make sense, i've just read your posts about Welcome car finance, I had a personal loan, secured loan & car finance loan with them a few years ago, I phoned them up last week to send me a copy of the paperwork, so i'm after them also,& Vanquis bank & capital one, & ace catalogue. How far can I go back to reclaim, I had a pers loan with Halifax about 11 yrs ago, or am i being a bit to cheeky??!!!!

Hiya hun
And sorry for the confusion, I did think you was the other "Dreamer" we have here lol.....:o , not realising that your a newbie "Dreamer06" sorry....:o , but never mind hey, welcome here anyway.:D ;) .

Right hun, now you can still try reclaiming from anyone you believe you were mis sold from, it easier if they were covered either by GISC or FSA who are regulators who had taken over the GISC in Jan 2005, the Financial ombudsman service will only be able to investigate complaints if they were covered by any of the above regulators, still there are other directions to take here.;)

Now above in the "RED BOX, RECLAIM £1,000's" you will come across useful PPI info and mis selling info, if any of them occur to you, then write a letter to reclaim on this, there is also a template you can also use on the site but add your own reasons and as much info as possible to back you complaint.

They have 8 weeks to respond, post all letters by recorded post for your proof, then let us know when you hear, we will take it from there.;)

However, if you've no paperwork for these, I would write to request copies of the agreements, they may be free or they may charge a £1 each for these.

They will normally only supply information they have on you going back for the last 6 years, some may be kept longer on microfiche, but its a chance we take really.

If you require your information an SAR known as a Subject Access Request is useful, they have to provide ALL the information they have on you on that account, they have 40 days to comply, but there is a charge for these requests (SAR) of £10 cheque or postal order payment, if you require the template for this let us know.

If you need further info hun post up where one of us will be happy to help.

Thanks Di that makes it a little clearer. Masmit - have you tried FOS for Blackhorse yet? When did you request SAR from them? I rang BH in Cardiff yest 0292 0296000 and I must admit the girl on the phone was evry helpful, it took a while to trace my account but she confirmed deatils over the phone. It remains to be seen whether anything is sent in post, but I have her name so I shall keep pestering by phone as well as in writing. Might be an idea for you?

Thanx again Di, i'm just about to start on these letters, have also just been on the phone to sterling insurance about ppi we had with mortgage we had 3 yrs ago with GE money! wish me luck!!!
:T ;)
• I'd like to ask a question.

If you have had credit cards in the last 6 years with insurance and you have took a new loan out to pay your credit cards off - can you still reclaim the PPI insurance on the credit cards ?!
• hi i am after some more advice.barclays have offered me my ppi back and i just want to make sure they have offered the correct amount as i worked it out to be more.
cash loan premium loan
amount of loan £7500.00 + £1788.92 =£9288.92
total amount payable £10,597.20 £2,527.20
monthly repayment £176.62 + £42.12 =£218.74
total charge for credit £3,097.20 £738.28
interest rate 14.538% p.a

hope that makes sense.i just copied how it is written on the agreement!!!
this is what they have offered back.....
full refund of ppi premium = £1788.92
plus interest incurred on premium loan = £426.61
plus 8% interest of £77.50
• I need some advice?!

If you have had credit cards in the last 6 years which you have paid insurance without knowing and you have recently paid off the debt on the credit cards by taking out a new loan - can you still reclaim the insurance on the credit cards ?!

This is our 1999 loan
From their settlement statement
Balance 13055.90 (which is correct)
Less interest rebate allowable £2482.00
Less insurance premium rebate £1617.69
Amount you need to pay to settle on or before 21/01/00 £8956.21

Below is my calculations as if we never had the PPI
Loan amount £9000
Loan interest amount £2580.55
PPI 2068.75
PPI interest £593.17
total amount loan and Interest £11580.55
Total amount of PPI and interest £2661.92

Repayments £237.38 x 60
Breakdown of repayments £44.37 for PPI and 193.01 for the loan

Repaid against the loan £965.05
Repaid against the PPI £221.85
TOTAL OF REPAYMENTS £1186.90 BEING 5 X 237.38

The original Loan was £9000 and I made repayments against it of £965.05 and on the rule of 78 calculator I should be left with a settlement of

8557.94
78.97
114.04
8443.90

The actual balance left at the settlement SHOULD HAVE BEEN £8443.90

I actually settled this loan by paying off £8956.21 so there is a difference here of £512.31 and this is the amount of the difference that they are offering for the PPI on this loan. (1044.23 – 545.06)

They are offering £545.06 and it SHOULD be £1044.23 and if you take one from the other then you get £499.17. I wondered if you could please get back to me on this in that the banks are not making the redressing of these PPI figures correct. So many people are accepting figures like this and these are wrong.

My figures still stand and that is what I want back. I can actually prove the figures in the above statement. If I had actually only borrowed £9000 and the repayments were actually £193.01 and not the £237.38 as £44.37 of each of the repayments was actually repaying the PPI and I made 5 repayments being a total of £965.05 then I would have paid back at settlement £8443.90 and they charged me £8956.21.

Now take the PPI, I was charged £2661.92 in total including the interest. I made 5 repayments of £44.37 against the PPI totalling £221.85 and then had a rebate of £1617.69 being £822.38 and then add that amount to what we actually paid against the PPI and you get 822.38 + 221.85 = £1044.23.

Please can you get these figures checked out and let me know asap what the Co-op bank say in regards to this.

Yours sincerely

Hi I see, let me know what they say. Is the other one correct:confused:
No, none of them are correct as they have worked them out wrong and I can prove it too and have now sent this off the adjudicator for his sending it to the Co-op. Going to be in the same boat as you here maxdp.
