    Hi
I left a post on here a couple of weeks ago regarding my Natwest Loan. I have received a letter today confirming they have cancelled my PPI and they have credited two payments to my loan account totalling nearly £5000. I am very suprised that they have acted so quickly. They have said they are sorry to hear about my concerns regarding the way the PPI was sold and that they take the issue very seriously. They have said they have passed my letter to their PPI complaints team.

I am really pleased to have got this far so quickly and will let you know when I hear more.

    Thanks again Di3004

    afternoon all,
phoned FOS passed on to FLA spoke to them asked what they do, they said post all letters i send to them to the finance company, i said no mediation between the complaint, no we dont get involved, what's the point then. i asked if you have a code of practice & your members are not adhering to it you say they will be expelled from the association. if there letting these company's answer to themselves, they are not a governing body implementing codes of practice, what a sham.
phoned OFT explained this to them & asked how is it fair.
told to call FSA called explained, was told i needed to speek to insurance team, no answer have to call back.
what a nightmare its no wonder so many people were ripped off.
will let you no answer of insurance team at FSA, i think my only option is court. totally let down by a system again in this country. DEPRESSED:confused:

    Hi Masmit
    Sorry to hear this.

Please remind me to save going back who this was with, that will be great thanks hun.;)

One of us will get back to you on this as soon as we can, yes your right, you feel like you've burnt every corner here and nowhere to go, so you have to wait now then for them to get back to you ?

Give them until more of less the end of their day, I imagine they would finish by 5pm, and if you've not heard, give them another ring, tell them you have been waiting for a return call all day and you need to know where to move on from here.

    Good luck

    hi marsha
28/9/05 to when loan started i explained this to FOS & they mentioned 2007 & contact FLA. seems to me its out off hand & nobody wants to help if they can get away with it,
    thankyou for your help
Masmit, they HAD to have been authorised by the FOS at the time of when you had your loan. Get back in touch with the FOS now..... You have been told wrong.. they were authorised on 14th January, 2005...

    Ring the FOS now.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have been on phone today chasing Black Horse who confirmed agreement no and a total PPI cost of £2364. This loan was repaid in 2003. What is my next step please? What would be the interest payable to me on this figure? Still waiting on info from Welcome - could be a long wait!

Hi Robbie, did you also write a letter about the amounts hun?

I would write to them to request for a hardcopy in writing of the breakdown of this, because the amounts they state may be wrong, and you don't know what went where.

    Just write:

Your address on the right hand side

The Finance company on the left hand side

    Today's date.

    Dear Sir/madam

    Account Number: XXXXXXXXXX

Due to our conversation on the telephone on XX/XX/XXXX regarding the amount of Payment Protection Insurance (PPI), I would appreciate it if you could send me a hardcopy of the settlement calculations of the loan/PPI through the post, as I would like to keep a copy of these for my records.

I will also be very grateful if you can post these direct to me within 7 -10 days of the date of my letter, if your unable to provide these please let me know in order for me to arrange another way of receiving these.

    Yours sincerely

    Print name

    Signature
    ....................................................................................................
As soon as you receive these we will know more because all this is without the 8% stat interest.

I do hope you hear from Welcome Finance soon as well, how long has this one been ?

    Cheers;)

Depends if the figure of £2364 is with or without interest. Sometimes on the agreements they put it down and then show you the interest on the PPI... How much was the interest on the loan and over how many months etc...

You would need the agreement really to look over it.. Post it up when they send it you out and we will have a look..

Have you actually requested a copy agreement from them?? In writing and recorded delivery.. they will know why you want it and telephone calls can always go unanswered..;)
  • GE Money have had both letters delivered and signed for.....let battle commence :-)

Hi yes sent an SAR but didn't hear so chased by phone. Agreement in post apparently! Loan was 6000, she then said PPI 1528.29 and total cost for PPI 2634. Total payable 9283. Am completely lost! What happens with it being before 2005 then can that cause a problem?
