I'm the same here too, and I get all achey all over from head to toe, hubby reckons its all the time I spend on here, so the way its going I will keep this lappy as spare, and when I have a bit of spare dough, I will invest in a new desktop, I miss my desktop......
I sit legs crossed with the lappy too..... , I may get the workbench out tomorrow, and get those dumbells back out......I may brave it, I have not had a good workout in a long time, I may take up going back to aerobics too, I defo will not have another ciggie then.......:o , and then the BP should go back to normal..........fingers crossed, so think getting healthy time now I think......:D
I just need to know the Firstplus one is going to be looked into then I will settle a bit. I want to add stress onto that claim too.0 -

Just wondering if anyone can advise me -
I didn't realize I've been paying ppi on my mbna credit card until I looked at my statements this week. It's not going to be a huge amount, but it would pay off a chunk of my debt if I could claim it back!
Is it worth trying? I'm sending one this morning for my Arcadia store card, since I was sold that in person. However with the mbna I applied online, and ticked the box saying I wanted it I guess. I didn't really know what it was or why I needed it. Just sort of looked tempting and like I should have it...
Shall I send a letter out tomorrow with my other one? What clauses should I put in it?0 -

Hi there
Anything is worth trying for hun.
So yes go for it.
With my credit card I had taken ppi as I thought it was part of the agreement, if I was told otherwise I would not have bothered, because I was a homemaker, where they ticked to have ppi under unemployment cover.
If you was not eligible for this and this was not explained to you then tell them that.
Tell them why you feel this was mis sold to you where you were not given the choice and whatever reason you can think of.
Good luck keep at them and if they fob you off first time round write back and tell them if they do not reconsider you will take your complaint to the FOS.
As you know they have 8 weeks and post by recorded delivery, please let us know the outcome, thanks.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

I will give it a go. I didn't really need the insurance as it was meant to be a card for a short term purchase - expensive camera and car insurance and I was in a full time job and living with parents! If I'd suddenly lost my job, I could have still made the repayments on the cards one way or another.
I'll send them a letter saying I didn't really understand what I was ticking the box for etc, and see what they say.0 -
Hi there.
Not sure where you would stand if the loan is in arrears, yet if you were successful maybe they would just recalculate, I am sure someone on here could confirm this for you.
However I would still try to pursue the firms to reclaim if you feel you were mis sold on any of the loans and credit cards.
I will add a link below, check this out and when you get to write a letter try to put it into your own words - there is a template on the link I will add below to help guide you.
They have 8 weeks to reply, and before this goes to the financial ombudsman service they will require a final response decision from each firm, (and copies of all correspondence in order to back your case).
So further letters may need to be sent until a final decision is received on all.
Post recorded delivery, they have 8 weeks.
Just let us know the outcome on each one you pursue and we will take it from there.;)
Best to also check if the firms were covered by either GISC or FSA for when you had taken these out in order for the ombudsman to investigate.
Please also note, if your loans were arranged by a broker, it will be them you write to.
Do you think you could let me know the firms who arranged the loans for you?, we will check to see if they were covered by the above regulators.
Thanks and here is that link to help you through this here:

Good luck !
Hello Morgan8080
I have just had a claim upheld with the FOS. I am currentlly in 5 months arrears with my lender and expect to be paid out by 24th Nov. The ppi settlement they owe will be calculated and paid towards my arrears first and the balance forwarded to me. So I would suggest you make a claim for mis selling as Di has suggested above.
Good luck0 -
Yes you are probably able to please make sure that when you claim the PPI back that you state that these were not stand alone loans that they were re financed because the PPI you paid on the first loan would have influenced the others etc. Please make sure you put this into your complaint otherwise they will take them as stand alone loans and you will not get all the PPI plus interest back.
You should have had the PPI paid back either into your bank account or credited to the new amoun t you were taking out. Marshallka or Di will post you to explain exactly how you go about this but felt I needed to add my two pennies worth:rotfl::eek: Good Luck
Hi there geegsie
Good luck with your claim against Black Horse. I have just had my claim upheld with them which took 12 months in total with the help of the FOS. I'm expecting a payout by 24th Nov. I wasn't told by them that ppi was optional as I have had loans with them since 2005 which I refinanced twice. Please follow the advice given above by Marshallka, Di and Maxdp on the thread and keep us posted. I hope you are successful like me!0
