Not sure I found the loan aggreement for the 2002 one but will have to have a search about in the loft to see if there was a previous one, is there not a time limit on these for claiming?
If you had one previous to this and make a complaint then it would be best to mention both loans as if there was PPI on the second then I would bet there was PPI on the first too so you would have two claims. If you cannot find the agreement yet then just write the letter and mention that there was PPI on the 2nd and you think it was also applied to the first.

take a look at the link here and see what you can add and delete from the letter that you send. There is also a template letter on there too but sometimes it can be better to make your own up from this.

You then write to the firm that actually made the sale of the PPI to you if this is different from the lender and don't forget to send this recorded delivery so you always a proof and dates etc.

After that you have to give them 8 weeks for a full and final response. In this time it is usual to get a response of "sorry we sold this to you fairly" but you then respond to this and reiterate your complaint again. The next time they write they either give you a final response which you would need in order to take this complaint to the FOS or offer to settle.

    Good luck

Always worth a complaint even if it was over six years ago as there are different schemes that some firms were in and if you only just became aware of the misselling then you can sometimes take your complaint to the FOS even if its over 6 years.

He is starting to get on his feet now, he had bought his own car, sorted out his own insurance etc as we were and not currently in the postion to do so right now although we did help by taxing his car for him.
His money not too bad but he will be on lots more if he gets in the technician side of things.
I think once you have your foot in the door, its a start, and he done well at uni last year, he had 2 passes and 1 merit.
He plans to up his digs now as well.........cool.......:D

He is doing well for himself. My son was 18 in aug and he could not care. He is so laid back he is almost horizontal. Hes not at home now we had so many arguments all the time, he just was not interested in finding a job.
