    Hello all,
Just looking for some help please.
Have rcvd final response from Lloyds (credit card) stating they do not believe PPI was missold apparently hubbie could have claimed for unemployment (if necessary) even though the visa he was on at the time would not allow him to claim state benefits and when his friend tried to claim they would not allow it as not able to claim state benefits!!!!

However, "as a gesture of goodwill it has been agreed to pay off the balance of the credit card..."

They state we can take this to FOS if we want.

    Anyone got any thoughts?

P.S. from my working out the balance of the credit card is only half the amount they would have had to refund if they had upheld the PPI mis-selling claim.

AND Lloyds loan agreed that for the same reasons (ie visa etc) PPI on loan was mis-sold!!!!!!!

Its a flip of a coin really, you can either accept it or roll the dice and wait up to a year for the ombudsmen. How much was it for?

£1200ish if they pay off cc but about £2000 if agree was mis-sold. It doesn't state anywhere in the letter though that if we go to FOS they will not pay off the cc just that the payment will show on Feb statement?
  • Please help me!! :D

Received Barclaycard SAR details through today which was just card statements THAT's IT!!!

Nothing else, a letter enclosed states 'The information we have enclosed relating to this account is all that we hold'

This is in relation to ppi reclaiming on OH credit card for self employment. Barclaycard replied to the template letter we sent from here saying a box was ticked on the application form requesting ppi and they would be sending this within 4 weeks but yet the SAR has proved they have no details of the account, no cca, no terms and conditions, no application, just statements

    So what now?

Should we be - or :T

    thanks guys
