    Hi.

I started reclaiming my ppi at about this time last year. i went through the motions with the template letters and had a final response from welcome finance stating that they were not prepared to pay up. I contacted the FOS who duely wrote back to me to say as welcome were not regulated by them at the time of me taking out the loan they coun't help me. So i gave up.

Today, i have recieved a letter from FOS saying they were wrong and many people have succesfully claimed back from welcome and to resubmit my complaint and they will look into it again as they think they can help me.

Well i'm over the moon. I thought that it was very nice of the, afterall they didn't have to contact me.

So Welcome Finance here i come.

Has anyone else recieved a letter like this.

That is brilliant news for you, well done, hope they find in your favour.

We've decided were not going to complete the PPI questionnaire, we're just going to send it back uncompleted, but does anyone have a covering letter I can attach to explain why the questionnaire is not completed.

The covering letter states if we do not complete and return the questionnaire within 14 days they will assume we no longer wish to proceed with our complaint / claim.

I dont have a covering letter but I would just write that you have not filled it in as you feel they should already have the information and that you still expect them to proceed with your complaint.

Hi. I'm new to all this and seeking some advice First Plus PPI's.

We took out a First Plus Loan out in June 2006. I was not involved in the conversations, but recall my husband telling me that if we didn't take out the PPI we probably wouldn't get the loan. Subsequently we took out the PPI of £11K+.

I have read a lot of threads on this site and have learnt alot.

I have dug out my paperwork and discovered out PPI is valid for 60 months only. Now both of us have never been out of work (fortunately) and the policy isn't worth the paper it is written on. I have read through the small print and now discovered that I am not covered ONLY my husband. None of this was explained. Oh and my date of birth is wrong so would this make it invalid?

I have written to First Plus to get a response that they explained the policy was optional and the paperwork was signed by us which stated the interest was added. I'm sorry, but these people have taken full advantage of people in an unfortunate position. This was never explained whilst taking out the loan and I am so angry with them.

The letter also refers to my husband, but hang on shouldn't I have been spoken to considering I was joint on the loan?

we were never asked about previous medical history or were we told we could take out a policy elsewhere.

I am going to write to them again and request all details of the conversation and a tape recording that they are refering to. If they cannot provide this I will take my complaint further.

These people are con artist who take advantage. They charge expensive interest rates.

We are paying a ridiculous amount of interest and may I add has gone up woth every interest rate increase, but funny enough never gone down.

What do you reckon my chances are?
I have been there too with FP it got to there final resonse so I went to FOS in JAN 2008 got full refund of PPI premium payments made and 8% interest in july 2008 so keep at it they are in the wrong.
shout if you need help filling in form to FOS
still fighting for my money !!!

Thanks maxdp - I've been following the template letters carefully for my claim! Basically, I was charged 562.50 PPI on a 36 month loan of 1500.00. It's coming up to the end of my loan now, and it looks like amongst other things they're charging me £1000 more than I agreed to pay - but that's another issue and another seris of angry letters from me .

When I took the loan I was told that I would be more likley to be accepted if I took PPI, and they told me it would cover me for sickness - not mentioning that if I fell ill with an existing condition I would be excluded - in fact, I saw nothing about exclusions until I had all signed up. Typical, really. They're ignoring me - also typical - so it's going to the FOS tomorrow. I just wanted to make sure they had'nt overcharged me on the account because of the PPI. Hopefully I'll have some good news soon enough - this loan company is so bad it's like going up against Al Capone in a court of law. They're such pantomine baddies.

Tee Hee You are so right there. Good Luck and let us know how you get on.:D

    Hi,

I was wondering if anyone out there could give me a bit of advice.

I took Creation Financial Services to court for PPI payments and the claim was made 14/8/2008 and was acknowledged by them on 1/9/08.

They did not provide a defence and therefore a default judgment was made 17/9/2008.

They did not pay up so a warrant was issued on 15/10/2008. The bailiffs have been unable to recover the monies.

Yesterday, over 3 months after the warramt was issued, I received notification that the defendant wanted to set aside the judgement.

Are they able to do this. I thought that once a judgement had been made it was final as a defence had not been made.

It seems pretty bad to me that I go through the whole small claims system and do everything by the book and then the defendant decides 4 months after the judgement that they wnt to set it aside.

    Hi Ednoni

I wonder if you would get more help over on the bankruptcy FORUM with this as they would know about Bailiffs etc. You may get somebody on here that can help but I think the other thread may be of more help.

    Sorry about that:o
