  • Hello

Just thought I would mention there are PPI reclaimers that require some help on other threads in case missed by anyone.

    Mishallka and di3004
I think time-out is good but both please come back after some time out.
Its a shame to see a once happy cheerful site going this way and hope it sorts out.
It's good to see that no-one is picking sides here as we're all too mature for that attitude as that would certainly turn others off, and most here are sensible posters to post back their views in a sensible manner.

This is only a quick call in here, and maybe next time it will look a little brighter here, good luck guys.

Its always good to step away and rethink, then come back with fresh eyes..

So anyone got any responses or any where with the FOS lately.

I got it confirmed by the FOS that they will not look into the fact that a company has no credit agreement for an account, or whether a agreement is enforceable or not, they say this is up to the courts. They (FOS) also didnt believe that companys default you without an agreement and because you have asked for an agreement they dont have ,even if you are still paying it. The FOS apologised a lot to me when they rang the company and the company admitted they had done this and removed the default pronto.

  • Excellent.

However my news today is not as great... and to be honest I am not sure how to deal with this on an ethical level

According to my sources, it turns out that Barclays could be funding certain claims management companies in return for indemnity against Barclays and its Group of Companies.

How is this giving consumers a fair deal?

This is purley my opinion and not at all intended to insult, upset or have a go at anyone on this forum.

I have become quite stressed, upset and annoyed myself with what has been said and has gone on, on this forum. I used to love it on here but a sour taste has been left in my mouth and like I said I will post up any news that I here about my PPI claims. What has been going on seems to have also been made out to be worse than it actually is.

There are no VICTIMS on this site and it appears that some seem to think that they have been deserted, which is not the case at all. The friendly chat stopped on the site and now it seems, some think people have turned against them, this is not true at all and seems it has been read into too much. I for one am not posting too much now because I've had enough of what has gone on.

We need to remember that everyone on this site has helped in their own way, some more than others, but so what, CREDIT should be given to each and everyone of us and no one should be SINGLED out. It has been a Team effort. Like Maxdp said there is no "I" in team.

We all have debt and worries about losing our homes, god I'm one of them, but you can either get on with life or sit back and let it bring you down to the ground and let the whole thing take control of you and fester for years too come. We also need to remember that there are many people all over the world who struggle to get basic food, but selfishly we turn a blind eye to this because we are to pre-occupied in our self.

I am not defending CreditCrunched in anyway, but he posted his opinions on the forum, which he is fully entitled to do and did also state that he was not having a go at PPI re-claimers, he stated that it was people not paying for their loans, but that debate seemed to go on and on and on. He had lost his job and was also probably upset at this happening. I also believe that he was provoked into continuing with the debate by words of "Bring it on". And I am being totally honest here I thought the post of "Go away, you are not wanted here" was inappropriate to post on a public forum. This should have been sent in a PM. Also it should have been ignored what he was saying if it was too upsetting or annoying, as the debate would have ended there but it was dragged on and now this ended up happening. Each and every one of us is responsible for our own actions.

Also why should everyone get involved in something someone else has started, you would not "load a gun for your friend and get them to fire it", not if you really classed them as your friend.

I am aware that some PM's have been going around, but what you need to consider is that, firstly you have only read bits of the PM's within posts which make others look bad and have not read them all and secondly you should be aware that what you read in the posts may not be the full story either.

I have also re-read posts and I do find some that are cool but some that could have been worded a little differently, maybe yous too should look back at some posts to see what yous think? Just a thought.

I totally believe in "honesty is the best policy" however you also need to be tactful too, when writing your posts and think about what you are writing, respect others and be considerate too.

Remember there is no "I" in Team.

Best wishes everyone, I really wish yous the best of luck and hope good fortune comes your way very soon XXXXXXX:A

  • Its been sooooooo quiet in here the past few days its weird, normally after a day at work it takes me an hour to catch up.

Just need to vent my anger at HFC somewhere so here goes...........

They was supposed to ring me back yesterday with the details of loan number 1 but as it was done in a different branch and they have now merged, they cant find the original agreements to give me the figures I need.
They're gonna keep searching!!!! And according to the branch manager, HFC was fined for they're book keeping (yeah I can see why!!) not for mis-selling of PPI. Was told to go away and read the judgement!!
Have rung the complaints dept today, to discuss the refund and they are redoing it as they didnt add on the 8% interest and also Ive told them they cant make me offset the refund against what is still owed and Ive rung the FOS to confirm this so again they are going to reassess it. Just waiting for another letter now!!

I also queried the rebate on loan 1 as its only for £86 and Ive got 18 months to pay on this loan yet. I thought that when the PPI was added to your loan , it was split evenly throughout the term you took the loan out for, but HFC have just told me that you pay more on the PPI at the start of your loan than you do at the end.

Well you learn something new everyday unless they are fobbing me off!!

    Rant over
    Thanks

HFC Bank, also trading as "Household Bank" and "Beneficial Finance": Fined £1,085,000 in January 2008 for putting customers at an unacceptable risk of being sold PPI when it was not suitable for them. Failings took place in branches between Jan 2005 and May 2007. More Info: HFC Bank

Looks like it was for PPI mis selling to me!

Yes that is correct. The one I use has now taken them out of the equation so can go after Barclays claims as well.:D

Hi Believe that to be about risk assessment. The risks are higher at the beginning of the Loan. They are not very efficient are they. Keep on to them am sure you will get there in the end.:D
