AV Sender from Dixons for £14.97 !!

Has anyone managed to get an a/v sender to work with telewest?? I have taking these back and forward to the shops but have not found one that will change the channels ???. I know the reason why (telewest and ntl use IRDA and not the IR that other equipment use for remote controls) but there must be one out there that does it!

I found one that changes the channels on telewest but it is over a £100's not such a bargain . Has anyone seen one at a better price?? Thanks

Hello,
I have recently bought one of these.

I can receive perfect sound but no picture.

Can anyone suggest what I'm doing wrong?? If I can't get this sorted i will take it back and get a different model.

Think its something to do with your settings . Try setting your telly your pickining up on to receive 'composite' on the AV channel .If its set to RGB you wont pick up a picture. Cannot guarantee this will work but it did for me.hope this helps

I know it sounds silly - but how old is your TV? We had the same problem with one of our portables, even though it had a scart socket it wasn't new enough.
