Amazon price drops

Hi there,
just a note that I thought people may or may not be aware of.

If you raise an order with amazon.co.uk, and the price decreases within 30 days of that date, you can mail them, and they will credit the difference back to your card.

So can be well worth keeping an eye on the prices of what you have bought for 30 days, and instead of cursing your luck - you can get a refund for the difference :-)

Do they have to refund you or are they just doing it to be pleasant - I mean are they bound to doing it by their terms?

Where is this in writing at the Amazon website? You would need to quote this so that they cannot refuse you.

I tried that yesterday and they informed me i pay the price when i ordered, my order had not even despatched and its gone down! You sure this is not to do with a credit card price thingy rather an amazon?

i'm only asking because i think by the time some of the books i've ordered actually arrive, the 30 days will have passed anyway.
