Congrats IA but I would be very cautious too...tax credits gave us money which I was sure we weren't entitled too and phoned 3 times to tell them, each time they checked and said we were.....sure enough a year later a letter arrived asking for their money back!!!! They are absolutely useless!!! I always take it that if it sounds too good to be true it probably is..at least for tax credits. Can you write to them and ask them to confirm in writing, that way of they start playing silly beggers about it in the future you will have proof of what they said. I wish I had done that.Debtfree JUNE 2008 - Thank you MSE:T0

:hello: Hi IA!
Made an appt today for my latest tattoo, v excited, having japanese styley thingy with lots of cherry blossom.
Have you ever seen anything about blacklight tattoos?
Kinda fancy some blacklight ink in it, what do you reckon?"Transported to a surreal landscape, a young girl kills the first woman she meets and then teams up with three complete stangers to kill again."-- TV listing for the movie, The Wizard of Oz,0 -
hi IA, that's great, definately keep that and keep a note of the date and approx time you called and the name of the person you spoke to. Write a few notes of what was discussed too and what they said. All this will help if they try and reclaim in the future, if we had had all that we could have got our overpayment written off.Debtfree JUNE 2008 - Thank you MSE:T0

Afternoon
Have had a busy weekend so apologies for not updating! Where do I start.. friday night I went out with the usual gang and had a really good night.
(Pics on facebook if anyone's interested! lol)
Sat morning/lunchtime when shopping and got myself a couple of games and the pirates of the caribbean boxset (£15 from hmv!! bargain!). Sat night I stayed in with a mate and had a pizza and watched the first pirates movie. Started watching the 2nd one but were falling asleep so abandoned it lol. Ended up in bed by 9.30! Was so tired but didn't sleep well friday night so not suprising really I suppose, and also start developing a lovely cough fri/sat night! Good job we didn't go out sat night! lol
Sunday I woke up faaaar too early with a lovely coughing fit so got up and played bass. Had band practice in the afternoon, the last practice before the gig!! Was really goodBring on sunday and our gig!! Woo!
Sunday night was spent playing on the xbox online. Got to bed about 12.30 but kept waking up coughingJoy...
This morning I was at CAB, Was really good but very busy! Still loving the CAB work and am on a mission this week to catch up with my course work for it. Came home after getting the girls and have managed to do all my christmas shopping online so that's all sorted
No plans for tonight other than probably going to buy Dark knight and watch that after a bath and a hair wash. Not going swimming this week as D's not feeling up to it.
Bog all planned for tomorrow other than CAB work in the evening probably.
Weds night me and D are off to see Black Stone Cherry at the academy in birmingham.. can't waitwoooo! Then the rest of the week is just going to be practicing and gig prep.
Right.. best go start dinner.. hope everyone's well and had a good weekend! Will do an up to date budget at some point I promise! lol!

Oh yes, and note new sig
As much as I'd LOVE a new bass, amp, car etc etc etc the sad fact of the matter is that if I did it would cause more trouble than it's worth. So the majority of the money has gone into a savings account. Hoping to get £1000 of savings built up.

more trouble than it's worth with who?
don't let the opinions of trolls govern what you do....
altho for what it's worth i do think it's a good idea to have put it to savings, well done!!!
Although while you're getting any benefits it mightn't be prudent to show that you have savings in your sig... it could affect your eligability or something, although i know it probably doesn't until a certain limit... knowing how people like to challenge you, i'd just be wary of having it constantly on show and risk being criticised on it when you talk about any other money you might be claiming......
i hope that doesn't sound like a back handed troll remark, cause it so isn't.... i hope you know where i'm coming from?

I think you are allowed £6500 savings before it affects anything, but don't quote me on it.
EDIT: wiki says "A person with savings over £16,000 cannot get Income Support and savings over £6,000 affect how much Income Support can be received." So the £1000 won't affect itCross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0
