OneBill Telecom

I have been offered some attractive deals by OneBill Telecom for my 3 business lines through a broker called Options Marketing. Has anyone got any experience - good or bad - of these companies that they would like to share?

Someone joined a while ago just to give their opinion of Onebill.

Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
  • I have been a customer with OneBill Telecom for almost 2 years and I can honestly say i have never had a problem, and wouldn't think twice about recommending them to anyone. Its refreshing to be able to talk to a human who understands me instead of all these automated systems.

Their prices are great, in fact another company called me earlier this year and offered me a package that was going to work out less than i was paying at the moment, so i called them up and told them about it and they matched the rates that i had been offered.

Overall, like i say - a good company. I really like discussion groups and i always research before taking any plunges with things (bit of a ditherer - lol) however its flustrating when people only seem to write reviews when they have experience problems. All companys have them ....

Anyways, in answer to your question, OneBill telecom are ok in my book. The other company you mention i dont know so couldnt comment.

For any other interested moneysavers, could you let us know the details of this pricematch so others can take advantage?
  • Sarajayne > is referring to the 'Prise Promise' that OneBill Telecom offer all current / existing customers. By all accounts they will price match or beat any other UK Telecom Line and Calls provider, although Im yet to put this into practice as no-one has even bothered to try when I mentioned that I'm with them. I take this as some consolation and guess I must be on the right track, It actually seems a good deterrent to stop allot of the sales calls i get regards the telephones.

As Sarajayne, I have also had good experience of there service despite initially having a minor problem transferring however this was down to BT. I also like dealing with UK company. Thumbs up for me.

Its a rolling contract for starters.

"Contract length - The duration is specified on the contract that we posted to you and is on a rolling basis which automatically renews at the end of the period.

Cancellation - If you wish to end your contract with us, you may do so at the end of any contract renewal period, providing you give us a minimum of 42 days prior written notice. If you wish to end your contract with us without giving us the required notice, you will be charged your monthly line rental and package fees in advance up to the end of your contracted date or a minimum disconnection fee of £199 + VAT should you terminate your contract within 3 calendar months of your legal termination date."

HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??
  • Please avoid this company like the plague, they have lied consistently to me over the past 3 years.

I initially agreed to a 3 year contract, which has 'somehow' turned into a 5 year contract over the last year, despite moving premises I was told that I HAD to stay with them, even though I needed to use another supplier as they could not support the VOIP service I now use.

They told me I would lose my number if I cancelled - blatant lie, my number was not even held by them.

Eventually after many, many calls and different operatives I got through to someone who agreed I had been badly treated and agreed to cancel my account with no penalty.... This morning I received a bill for £199 cancellation charge PLUS another months service bill!!

    AVOID, AVOID AVOID!!

Thanks pilch. I think others will have noticed that, mysteriously, two brand new posters (malcolm101 and Sarahjayne) sang the praises of this company, but nobody else has done so since.

EDIT 17/2/2012. Neither of those newbies has posted again since November 2008 and March 2009.

    Says it all really.
