I wondered if it was for people who had not used the free listing for items under 99p that was on a few weekends ago?!
Bang goes my theory.
Perhaps users who have either stopped listing, or not listed as much as they had in the past?"Love you Dave Brooker! x"

not invited to the party either - must have trod on someones toes me thinks !
me too
I have had my account since 2005, only brought a handful of clothes, got 100% good reviews.
The last 2/3 weeks been listing like a mad fool:p clearing out my cupboards, have sold a few stuff & just sent them out ,so no up to date feedback.0 -
Yes I put a shed load on the other week when it was free ( even put a
lot in double catogries as well since it was free ) might be being penalised
now for it though
Ah well - its only 10p going thru Autiva anyway ( thanks to Soolin for
the scheduling help by the way )- so I might contact
Ebay and tell them exactly where to insert their 5 p`s !:rotfl:0 -

I listed during the free weekend, but also have the invite for this one, so bang goes that theory too.0

I got the invite too and I've not listed for ages as sales are rubbish on eBay now. I have loads of kids stuff to list in all fairness so maybe I should get my finger out. I've a buggy to get rid of I suppose.
Do you not think that prices in the shops are so cheap that people do not want to pay the price and postage. For example, I can get a kids top for £1 and the postage of £2 yet it is £4 (or less) for me to buy it new, I just got some stuff from Verbaudet for a few pounds an item. So why buy it 2nd hand??
I think that eBay are depserate to get the private sellers back as people are not bothering so much anymore - but they just do not seem to get that people do not want to accept Paypal for selling their stuff, they like Postal Orders and that and not to be ordered to accept Paypal and do this, that and the other.0 -
I've got an invite too and I registered this new account I am using now only two months ago. So working out ebay's formula of choosing the sellers probably isn't going to be the most productive way of spending your time....0

I got an invite- and am quite suprized reading everyone elses post- I email ebay all the time to complain about everyting, only I do so two steps away from being abusive (no excuse for telling someone to read what you have written in bold capitals but I get sick and tierd of automated replies to my questions) and low and behold... I have the email!
I have been selling for years, probably since about 2003 and listed since 2002. My feedback is 236 and 99.4%. I have also had violations for keyword spamming (only twice in one year in total) and not allowing e-cheques also got me a violation, meaning I am a poor seller according to this on my account. One step away from failing...Luckily my buyer satisfaction makes up for it!0 -
I didn't get an invite and had some items scheduled through Auctiva to start today and when I checked the seller fees it says 'Promotional Rate' and they've charged me 5p so give it a go even if you didn't get the invite!0
