From Thursday 30th October 2008 to Sunday 9th November 2008 (local UK time), selected Private Sellers who list item(s) in an eligible category using the Auction-style format on eBay.co.uk, will pay a reduced Insertion Fee of 5 pence (£0.05) per listing.
Please refer to "What's Excluded?" for more details.

    What's included?

Only items listed in British Pounds Sterling on eBay.co.uk using the Auction-style or Auction with Buy It Now option formats are included.
Items which are listed using the Auction-style format with a Reserve Price are included in the promotion.
Offer is only open to Private Sellers, by invitation
Any item previously scheduled to go live between Thursday 30th October 2008 and Sunday 9th November 2008 will qualify for the promotion.
If sellers re-list an item between Saturday 30th October 2008 and 9th November 2008 that had previously closed without a successful sale, the re-listed item will qualify for the promotion.
If the re-listed item sells and is eligible under the eBay re-list policy, eBay will refund the Insertion Fee at the Promotional Insertion Fee price of 5 pence (£0.05).

This arrived by email, so no link just yet - also looks like it is selected private sellers as well, not everyone.

It's come to an account of mine that has not been used for selling for over a year!

Doh - great minds and all that!

I've just had the email, but it says selected private sellers by invitation only.

It was on one of my dormant selling accounts that has not been business regsitered yet.

Sorry we must have done it at the same time.
Good news though! Get those expensive items on for xmas, or cheaper ones the world is our oyster.

What do you think they mean by selected buyers though? Probably means everyone but they just want us to feel special aah bless!

    Just need the buyers!!

It says selected private sellers by invitation only - can we compare accounts to see if we can spot the pattern?

The account it came to with me has 554 feedback from selling, but has not sold anything since September 07.

Mine is still active sold a few small items yesterday (sunday) but nothing more than £7. Feedback is 400+ 100% DSR's are all over 4.8.
Don't sell a great amount every month so can't see a pattern unless it is people under 500?
I am just clearing out parents house and my own collections so anyone else any ideas.
