[Dell are] probably monitoring the MSE forum.

Of course Dell are monitoring this and other forums that affect their business.

This forum is giving Dell a great deal of free publicity and marketing, as well as increased sales, so it's up to them whether they should accept the orders, or risk alienating people and losing their interest and future sales.

This forum highlights good value deals, so that people do not need to make purchases at the prices advertised by Dell in the newspapers and magazines.

I hope Martin negotiates from Dell an extra discount for purchases from this website, and a commission on the referrals.

Chico, If this comes through you are a star!! I have been wanting a budget pc with tft for ages and although i did not order the one you listed i ordered the one below it (del 3000) it has 15"tft and soundbar speakers 80gig HD, 256mb ram and a dvd/cdrw combo drive for an amazing £306 inc vat and shipping. I am holding my breath for this one to come through and if it does you will have made my christmas.

At the bottom of the basket view, you should have these options

Thanks, but the options I get at the bottom of basket page are to continue shopping, no checkout at all, maybe I'll start again.

Add a Dell system to your basket. Add software and peripherals to your basket. Add to your Dell system

I hope these postings have helped people get good deals from Dell, and avoid their usual prices. I aimed to post the cheapest deal, but of course each person may find a different related deal more suitable.

Anyway, fingers crossed for the pdf confirmations.

Like some of the people above, I have found, and still find, the Dell website to be very erratic. I had to delete my first attempt at this posting (after it had already been read by a number of people) because the steps to get the deal did not work even though I had carefully checked the steps beforehand. I have tried deleting the cookies, and restarting the browser, etc, but am still not sure why the website produces different results on different occasions.
  • Not sure if anyone else has picked up on this but where the monitors are it says:

Please Note: On Dimension 2400, Ultrasharp Monitors will work in Analogue Mode only.

When you downgrade monitor to 17inch it is a Dell 17" Value (15.9" VIS) CRT Monitor so will not work with the graphics card they install. I might be wrong.
    stay lucky!
    Steve.
