  • Hi never done this before. Can I be put down for £200 please. I'm sure we spent laods more last month but I did spend £60 on ingrediants for christmas puds and cake for christmas presents. just got to work out a system to make sure we keep ALL reciepts now as DH does a lot of the shopping!:D
  • first challenge from me - can i say £350 for the calender month? Starting from tomorrow probably as i don't think i can magic up many more meals from the freezer after today

I have taken a rough guess at what we should spend.... it is for 2 adults - a 15 year old who is only here weekends - 3 children aged 2, 4 and 6 and a baby. It will include nappies for the 2 year old - the baby is in cloth and is breastfed so doesn't really cost a lot

    thanks a lot
:rotfl:five children? I must be mad........ :rotfl:
    aug grocery spend - £166.45
  • After a bit of a last min disaster in the October challenge I'm going to try and be quite disciplined this month and I'm going for £40! in November.

I still haven't declared October's total but will do that tomorrow once I work out exactly what I've spent!

Have made Hobnobs, Iced Buns and Caramel Shortcake this week to keep the kids topped up in sweet things as it's Half Term, also made a Tiramisu last night as DD2 had a friend over to stay for Dinner.

Do you have the recipe for the Caramel Shortcake at all please? This would be great for my DH's lunchbox.

    Thank you.

Mrs Mcawber, I'm totally new to this so I'm going to ask for 800 Swiss Francs CHF.

I can also shop just over the border in Germany or France but I'll put everything into CHF before I post. I think you live in Germany don't you? Maybe I can pick up some good tips about German shops.

    thanks very much

Mrs Mc please put me down for the usual £400 for November please.

I will try my best but as posted on October thread I am strugging at the moment due to being off sick with vertigo. Some days I don't feel able to stand and cook just want something quick and easy.

Last night OH took me to Asda for a big shop, I was very disappointed, wanted to stock up on meat but everything seemed extremely expensive. I usually doa shop in store at the strt of the month - I like to see the meat I buy, then shop online for top up shops. Having visitors over the weekend for tea so bought sausage rolls 2for £2, gave in and bought 2, when I got home I realised I'd saved nothing the offer was irrelevant they were £1 per pack.
Also Babybel mini 12pack, last time I bought at £2.28, now they are £2.88. This is ridiculous.

Normally I wouldn't have fallen for either of these but my head is all lover the place at the moment. I will not being rushing to Asda in the near future. There were other big increases which I did spot - sorry but Mr T is now my no.1.
