Forums Social/Farewell drinks

I thought I'd start a new thread for this. As many of you know I'm off to Aus in a bit and there seems to be some interest in a meet-up (possibly to make sure I am actually leaving).

So if anyone wants to buy me a drink or give me a smack in the face then I'll be in the Market Porter (next to Borough Market/London Bridge) from 3pm in a fortnight, Sunday 9th November.

I'll write MSE on a bit of paper and stick it on the table I'm sitting at. If anyone gets there before me then please do the same. If anyone has top brewery connections then perhaps we can do this MSE style and get 2-for-1 beers or something.

    Hey G,

I know the pub and the market really well. Are you a foodie? My wife kills for Fridays at Borough Market.

BTW, love to be there, but I have to be elsewhere in the world, keeping the wolves from the door,
In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:

Don't live near London but I wish you well. What'll you do if Bruno turns up with his AK?

Gah! In London for gazillions of meetings in the near future, just not on that particular day.

Hope you have fun, and please don't leave us for good - we nee you to explain the mysteries of the markets.

I've been banging on about it in my usual self-obsessed way.

They have a special umbrella shaped one in the corner. Will you come or is it not your cup of beer?
