My fireman tale (it's a ramble!) As you know I am a teacher; I was working in a school where they held a meeting for parents of new admissions; all staff had to attend. It was, of course, not the most enthralling of chats and I started to gaze (discreetly) at this really hunky father...end of the head's rivetting talk and this dad stood up, looked at me and said 'Hiya Val' I did a rapid double take and realised he had worked at the refinery where I had worked ...recollected his name and said hello and had a chat (He always was a seriously good looking bloke, blue eyes, dark hair, tan...).
Anyhow his offspring was joining Y3; I taught a Y4 class - and his niece was in my class.
(Incidentally I wasn't the only teacher to have clocked him...the talk in the staffroom! - and they knew I knew him! Some of those ladies were MOST envious that we were on first name terms - but I digress...)
He was working,he said , as a supermarket shelf filler having been made redundant (every little helps) but later that year his niece came upto me and said - "You know my Uncle **** don't you?" "yes" - "well", she said, "he's got a new job". "What as?" says I
"A fireman"...I HAD TO SIT DOWN cos my legs went all wobbly! Looking like that AND in a fireman uniform - isn't life cruel...he was a lovely bloke too...
Mmmmmm there are a couple of Firemen that come into the bank **wonders if one of them is Valli's fireman!!**Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang 0 0

            Good Morning everyone :hello:
SO far well Little gremlin broke my toilet yesterday, i dared to try and take a quick bath whilst the boys were playing befor ei know it he was there and when i said no he lifted the cistern lid and droppped it back down. I had no idea he knew i moved, ah well new toilet ordered for tuesday just a cheapy from B & Q £59 i ain't getting a new one i am havign a new bathroom suite after xmas if i can muster the energy to take of the 2 or 3 layers of tiles, pull down the ceiling and replace the floor which is what my father will do but i do the labour. I am worried as to what we will find eveything in this house since we bought has had to literally stripped back to original brick. Everything was a bodge job and the only room we haven't done is the bathroom.
I have a dentist appointment today and 11:45 nice! See if she tries to sell me implants again for my missing teeth, i have 2 missing at the top from each side, not mega noticable but she said last time i saw her, oh yes we can sort that out she says, its only about 2.5k each..ONLY..oh well at the price i think i will have 4 why not!!!
I got all my ironing done yesterday so only have a tiny pile today :T and i have to put the humongous pile away that i ironed.
Must buy a baby gate to now to go over the landing top so little gremlin can onlygo between my bedroom and the boys bedroom. I have one at the top of the stairs which will stay there also too wide to go across landing top.
Right i shall have a quick catch up on the thread a nd post again in a bit xxYou can touch the dust but please don't write in it !
Would you like to speak to the man in charge, or the woman who knows whats happening?0

I like firemen, wanders off to find what is the upper age limit to be a fireperson and how fit you have to be, so I can have a uniform. wanders off to find what is the upper age limit to be a fireperson and how fit you have to be, so I can have a uniform.
OH is not really talking to me again this morning, not sure what I have done this time, I did try to ask, but got told, I have to go as I'll be late for work, so hopefully his day at work , with his intelletucal work collegues will put him in a better mood.
Not done any flying over night, escept the kitchen floor.
Going to have as usual a major blitz on Saturday morning.
Thanks for all the tips about quidco, I got back last night £9.65 against house insurance, well it is showing on the first page, and something about 10 days wait as I am a newbie before they pay out, so pleased about that, today I am gonig to sort out / look at / my hol insurance, and see what is the best deal I can get for that. Thanks again a good tip for me.
I also found a quidco thread somewhere on this site, but it is pages and pages long!!!! so not sure I will bother with that, quicker to come in here and ask.

Morning all. All this talk of fireman .......well no one can stop us looking, can they?
Plans today include going into school to see if the exam paper work has arrived. They want it back by Weds and yet at the end of the half term [ last Fri] it still hadn't arrived in school. Trouble is it will take a couple of hours to fill in so I am hoping I can do a lot of it today. Also want to photocopy lots of revision material needed for the after school session I am running on Monday. Will also need to pop into Tescos for some sweets for the kiddies tonight.
After all that I'll get on with tidying/cleaning so that the house is okay for going back to school. We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.0

Ooh thanks for letting me know rach - haven't been online for a couple of days so didn't realise. I'm just trying to catch up with the thread at the moment before doing lots of flying before my mum comes over - last time she came over, the place was fairly spotless but it's deteriorated greatly since then.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

What do ya think am i a bad mummy? I have decided to put little gremlin in a nursery for a couple of mornings a week. I need a break but feel really really guilty now and i haven't even enrolled him just thought about it! With OH working away, a job, 4 kids and the house to sort i think i now have to admit i am stuggling a little and don't want it to get too far so i am seeing this as being responsible and taking charge, but am i? Oh god knows what to do. I can't talk to my mum cos she will just say yes good idea, purely as it means i won't call on her for anything!!!
I better pull myself together i have a very busy day today!!
 Happy flying ladies xx

You are definitely not a bad mummy. With your OH away , you need time to draw breath and so putting the little one in a nursery will give you that time you need. Will actually mean you are a better mum.buy!

chunky79 Everyone can give all kinds of advice and opinions... but here's my tuppence worth........
Admitting that you're finding it a struggle does not make you a bad mum. Trying to do something about that struggle does not make you a bad mum. Finding a solution to that struggle does not make you a bad mum.
Go for the nursery place... and repeat after me:
"I am not a bad mum. I am not a bad mum. I am not a bad mum. I am not a bad mum. I am not a bad mum. I am not a bad mum. "
 Hugs Hun.
