I would have been interested but I have made the decision not to mix and go out unnecessarily cos of swine flu and won't be doing until it goes away.

Thanks for letting me know, I shall keep this date in mind for a few more days but if no other interest shows up I shall cancel it.

I would rather know people cannot make the day than keep the day free and then have to cancel at the last minute (as Saturdays are the days that normally I use to do things with DH).

If August does not happen, hopefully there will be other occasions to meet up, perhaps a nice Autumn one to swap tips about preparing for winter!

I am free on that day but have quite a lot on right now so am reluctant to book anything in for August. I definitely want to come to one of the London meets, as you know, and the idea of a winter preparation one sounds good! So I'll take a rain check for now, if that's OK. Thanks for the good wishes LilacLillie, there will be plenty more occasions to celebrate my birthday on your return, as you know my entire life is a celebration (almost always, at least!) so we can party away while scrounging freebies in Selfridges etc. hehehe

savingforoz, thank you for letting me know. I think that I shall cancel August as probably not many people will be around, so we make the next meet in September, after the 15th, then I hope to see you and more of the Brizzle brigade!

Ok then, the August meet is OFFICIALLY CANCELLED

Well, as promised (threatened?) I'm organising another OS meetup in Bristol. The format of meeting for lunch at Wetherspoons in Corn Street seemed to work fine, so I'm sticking with that.

So, it would be great to see as many OSers as possible - 12 o'clock, Wetherspoons in Corn Street, Bristol. Saturday October 31st. Looking forward to seeing you all! Let me know if you're coming x
