Not a very good start to the week, overslept and didnt make lunch So went to sainsburys and got 3 £2 coins in change Also my pre paid debit card has come through, no more spending when I shouldnt be, just so I can do much food shop - from my monthly meal plan - on quidco x

What is a 'pre paid debit card' and where can I get one?

I looked them up on moneysupermarket.com and basically cause me and OH have switched to cash cards we cant buy anything online and wanted to do our shopping online - cashback ect - and you just top them up and use. Mines a visa

If you need a hand let me know, im getting to be a pro at this whole money saving malarky

They sound interesting. I still have my visa debit card so and able to buy things online......buy too much online! I had cortailed this spending way down to next to nothing when first on my own.....slowly but surely the amount has crept up.:rolleyes:

I tell you what, cash card accounts have really changed our lives - god sounds a bit over emotional there, blame hormones! We were always putting stuff on our debit cards and no matter what we tried - spending diarys ect - something was always missing or when we looked online we couldnt remember what we spent.
Now we have a certain amount and that is it. We run out, its tough! Its a long walk to the nearest cash machine!

List of things to do once I get home:

• Tidy up, I let it slip a bit the last few days, have been feeling poorley and OH is working late tonight so he deserves me to do something and have dinner in the oven when he gets home. Plus he catered to my every need last night when I wasnt feeling well, even giving me a back rub - hoover, washing up, quick tidy up
• Cook OH dinner, its whatevers on the meal plan but that is in my diary and I am downstairs - diary is on my desk in office upstairs, hmmm well at least it will be a surprise, but am thinking its just spag bowl, but he likes it
• Make lunch for tomorrow for both me and OH. We did really well last week making lunch every day and so far its tuesday and we have bought lunch twice now monday and today! Tut tut!
• Check on ebay, see if any more bids on my items, gotta get em shifted and then we can buy more for bump

Another 2 £2 coins today! I only had a fiver in my purse and a colleague was popping to sainsburys and was really craving a kit kat so gave her the fiver and she came back with 2 £2 coins £20 now woop woop x

Well well well its the 15th and that means PAYDAY!

Right SO's should have gone out £400 for rent and £188 for DMP - will check online banking when Im home to confirm as am sat bored at my desk at the mo

I have got to get £20 out the bank to put in my Xmas find I will not struggle in Dec 2009!

I made lunch last night, then forgot it Damn pregnancy brain ! But had some change so didnt get any money out!

Got an appointment with the practice nurse tonight to help me with my stop smoking, this is starting to become a chore tho, may cut this down to going every two weeks.

That reminds me have to phone GP surgery and sort out MatB1 form as I forgot yesterday...dashes off to phone GP.... thats sorted will pick it up tonight

Will check Ebay tonight, its either tonight or tomorrow my items are ending and cant remember when Hopefully thats a bit more money made!

Also been reading everyone diaries and have decided to add in a pocket money amount for me and Billy as I think we are doing so well we deserve a few quid each week to do with what we please

Another thing on my list is to call HMRC regardin the health in pregnancy grant which is available to all expectant mums due after 6th April - phew I just made that - and now I need to go to GP for form, damn! Will ask receptionist tonight.

Also have to pick up some Mayo, cant have sandwhiches without it and something to put in my sandwhich tomorrow!

Not a bad day now just 39 mins and counting till I can go home

Well getting there, Im managing to keep on top of the finances - I know its only been a few days but am feeling good I know exactly what we will be spending, treats included in the next few weeks and know exactly what is going in and out each day

hello glad your getting them all sorted, its better when you know exactly whats going in and out and helps a bit - well i think it helps me when i sort myself out and do it!!!

Lucky on the health in eating in maternity grant thing!! I just miss it and if i have to be induced i will be induced on the day it comes in!!!ARRRR oh well. It will be a nice £190 to help you though.
