Well I didnt carry that on very well over xmas, will start another google spreadsheet in the new year I think when I am back into my routine. Thought I'd note what Ive spent today and see if I can keep posting daily.

Today we had to pop out and sort out somewhere to store baby clothes, only 3 and a bit months to go so we are inundated with stuff! Got some cheap plastic drawers to go under the bed - spent £30 on these but they were a worthwhile investment I think, then went to sport and ski... very cheap to pick up a few t shirts for DF - I think I am shrinking his, either that or he is putting on weight - got 5 t shirts and a jumper for £16! Bargin, and then went to argos, our TV aerial in bedroom has packed up and i refuse to pay £10 a month extra to have sky multiroom so we got another aerial. I had a £5 gift card as well that I got as I bought xmas pressies from there to the value of more than £50 before xmas - DF camera - so only spent £5.19 in argos :) We also got a maccie D's, I couldnt resist and bump needed junk :) So that was another £9ish. Hmm we have spent a bit today but dont have to worry about dinner tonight as am going to a friends for a meal tonight..... :)

    Heres to a prosperous 2009! :)

    Update time :)

Have spent far to much money over the xmas break and am looking forward to going back to work and being able to get back into my routine. Have done a meal plan for the week to last till Billy gets paid on Friday and will then do another to take us till the day after pay day - as this month am starting to do a rigid online shop - through a cash back website :) - and sticking to my monthly meal plan - we start our month from 15 Jan as thats the biggest pay day me being paid monthly and DF being paid 2 weekly - have also just ordered a pre-paid debit card as me and Billy a=have closed out seperate bank accounts with debit cards - we were wasting so much buying bits and bobs - and opened a joint account with just a cash card - so now we can do all shopping online through cash back sites :)

Happy 2009 every one, I have a really good feeling about this year :) x

Hi, I hope that you dont mind me just butting in on your thread.
Congratulations on the baby front i just have a few pointers i hope you don't mind and if you have heard them all already just ignore me, lol.
-Have you signed up for all the baby websites? Pampers, Huggies, Hipp organic (well most of the main brands) all send you vouchers and free samples for signing up online.
the vouchers can be used at mr T's for outfits for the baby in the sale ofcourse, lol or off the weekly shop (at mr t's you don't have to buy the item on the voucher!).

-Also i wouldent go overboard on outfits in newborn or 0-3 months they grow out of them REALLY quickly! i also found it a good idea to make a list of things i would need in the first year though not straight away like feeding spoons bibs etc and get everyone to buy 6-9 and 9-12 months clothes as gifts not starter outfits.(you could always drop hints from a catologue to family and friends, lol)
Saves you getting loads of clothes they dont need or have chance to wear and more practical stuff they do need.
    - sign up for tesco, sainsbury and boots baby clubs if you have the store local to you they send discount vouchers too on nappies etc, use a supermarket comparison site to get what you want the cheapest way.
Sorry for rambling on and i hope some of that was of some use to you.
    Total Debt 10/5/2009, £2189.10, 1/6/09 £1420.75
