I sat up surfing MSE until 2am and cause of that didnt wake up till 12! Wont be doing that once baby comes! I was annoyed though as have lots to do before going to mums tonight, doesnt include sitting on here again but hey its better than spending money!
Went to sainsburys to do my weekly shop sticking to my meal plan, and still popping in a few extras and through looking for deals spent £40 less than I budgeted for! WOAH!
Also literally bought everything I need for the week so untill friday every day should be a No Spend Day! Other than the contents insurance going out on DD throughout the week:
SO list of things to do today now:
[STRIKE]Shopping for week - sticking to meal plan[/STRIKE] SAVED £40!

the cutest, smallest pot of sudocream I have ever seen lol!
When my lo was born I didn't buy a 'baby bag' too many pockets.
I had a small rucksack type thing, for nappies, wipes, 2 changes of clothes (vests/sleepsuit) extra blanket, breast pads (then bottle when started bottle feeding) but that wee pot of sudo cream came EVERYWHERE!!! I just kept filling it up from a big pot at home.
Even now, my Lo is 2 and still in nappies, in my handbag is a nappy, wipes and wee pot of sudocream.
It is the best freebee ever........
Also, I was really odd (or so my family told me) when lo was little, she lived in sleepsuits until she was about 4 months old. No little outfits. So less little seams and creases on her wee body. So all the little newborn, 0-3 months clothes I brought back and either got vouchers or bigger outfits.LBM May 2007 -£20584!!! (£18k is ex-husbands-nice guy, eh? )

Hi,
I'm glad that your so organised but just a thought about something that i didn't know when my first or second to be fair was born and i hope you find it useful.
You can get a free prescription for your baby / child of sudocream, baby ibruprfen, calpol (baby parecetamol) head lice treatment (obviously when older!)etc so don't fork out lots of cash on these items and always have them in your cupboards just in case!
also you can get teething aids and colic medicine.
I know a lot of these are a long way off for you but i was not told this till my youngest was 5 so you can imagine the amount of money i paid out for nappy rash, cold, fever, colic etc although neither of them ever had nits?very strange my friends kids always have them? mine are now 7 and 9 i think it's something in the genes or something?
all you have to do is visit or call your doctor depending on how responsive your surgery is and say that your baby has nappy rash or speek to your health visitor and you can get a repeat prescription from that, also when your baby has it's jabs they will offer you a calpol(baby paracetmol ) medcine accept if you need it or not so you can get the repeat prescription later on. ( trust me from the age of 0 - 5 you will need a couple of bottles!)
Like i said i paid for all of these items mostly bought late at night from tesco pharmacy but if you have them in the cupboard from free prescription no need for a mad dash out!
I now have antiseptic cream, neoclarytin(one of my kids have allergys) calpol, kids ibruprofen, sudocream, and nit lotion in my medicine cupboard all the time, all free from prescription !
hope this helpsTotal Debt 10/5/2009, £2189.10, 1/6/09 £1420.75
