There are loads of links withi this thread i'm not really sure which one to direct you to in particular. But if you want to cut down/ give up I would suggest just buy a starter kit and try it. I get my stuff from Oksmokey and he has been great. the starter kit I got was under £20 and came with five diff strength cartridges for you to try. He delivers really quickly. Just go for it this is a link to his website : http://oksmokey.com/index.html

I just looked it's £19.95 with free delivery.

My boyfriend is having real success with his he was a 30 a day smoker and the past few days has been having 10 and under per day using the e-cig aswell. He says he is going to go for giving up the cigarettes completely soon. I have been trying to make him give up for about 5 years all diff methods and this has been the most sucessful. :D

    Having a bad day.........

Had several real ones. I'm a bit stressed of late and after my initial great hit with the pink one, it has calmed down like the other one. They are both good - but I just need a real good hit now and again - probably only about 2 to 3 times a day!! May be less depending.........

I am better at weekends - says it all really.

Sense I am weakening......... a bit........

I've not got any juice.... I don't have time to fiddle about which is why I just need to shove on a cartridge and go.... but they are not hitting the spot when I need it.

I noticed today that my e cig, wrapped in kitchen towel, ( I don't know of any other way to 'transport' it in my handbag) had leaked. Plus the 'spares' I carry seem to make my bag smell of nicotine. I know that it is better than smelling of smoke, but it would be nice to be able to carry all of it around without making a mess and making it all pong!!

I'm making a mess of the whole thing really!!

Oh that's typical of a low amongst the highs ((((((((Jeannie))))))))). You are not making a mess of it, it's early days and you have not smoked a great many cigarettes. Isn't there anywhere handy you could buy yourself a pretty specs case or the like? Temporarily could you cut down a freezer or sandwich bag to prevent contamination? I was just about to follow your lead and buy a few of George's carts because you (and others) have found that they last - yet I have hundreds of others here, it's such a waste.

I'm in a deep trough myself at the moment - my ultra-expensive e-cig has never worked like the other girls' ones have, it's refusing to give me a decent drag no matter how many different atomisers I try, or different carts or juices, and I'm puffing away so furiously that the battery doesn't last long enough for the spare to get charged... I could cry. Plus, talking of stress, my new PVR arrived today and its quirks are a complete surprise to me and blokes are being nasty to me on the "Help" forum *blub sob*.

Sorry about that, had to let it all hang out there. As Ssaxonlady says, we must PERSIST! PERSIST! PERSIST! (I haven't had a fag :T )

    Actually, I think I'll buy a couple of George's atomisers, they're a bargain.

Are there any known side effects using the e cig Veronarona? Apart from handbag smell etc.?? And how do you stop it leaking? May be just unlucky with last couple of carts...

I'm not having a great week for a number of reasons and very low yesterday - especially evening - am trying to soldier on today.

Had two cigs this morning - superkings, so they last me for say six ciggies as smoke them in 'thirds'. Sad isn't it...

I'm using a small leather purse/wallet to carry mine around and I put the carts and spare battery in the separate compartments.

I think there is no 'failure' with this. My aim is to smoke less cigarettes and as long as I do this, then I am winning. Hurrah for me!!

I am so happy with this and spreading the word, so well done to everyone else for persevering too.

You're right Sharlee. I'll keep an eye out for a wallet or similar.

I'm just not having a great time at the moment...

  • Jeannie, you're always thanking me for nuthin' ;) But I love it :p

Sharlee has the right attitude, please don't let yourself get depressed. What am I saying? That's easier said than done, I know only too well.

Following my wail/rant last night about my "ultra-expensive e-cig", I had to go downstairs to the lobby at 3am when my SO came over with heavy shopping for me (his excuse for keeping strange hours is shift work, mine is... brain damage )... I checked my postbox and Yippee, my new batteries had arrived from Hong Kong. Tried one immediately and realised that the problem all along has been the duff batteries that were sent out with the e-cig. I can't tell you how relieved I am. BUT, I made myself quite dizzy because I over-vaped so much nicotine  I think that's the only side effect you have to worry about (apart from enthusiastic puffing causing worse lip-lines than fags themselves ;) ). Quite a few people report bleeding gums, but it's been put down to giving up tobacco; for one thing, the sudden drop in poison-intake must give the body a shock. I really do not think there are significant side effects.
