Is vaping all about wanting to quit? If someone is still vaping after 12 months then surely it's a replacement for smoking tobacco rather than quitting.

I think it depends really. Because you are getting the addictive nicotine without the 3000 - 4000+ chemicals. but if you want to quit the you would lower the dose. so the people using the could have started on 24mg nicotine and over 12 months gone down to 6 mg which in its self is a very good achievement if the person has been smoking 40+ years. all depend on the person and there goal
it might not be much, but its better than a kick in the teeth:rotfl:

was actually doing abit of research as I have dentist tomorrow and was going to ask her some questions and what ever you write in google you get many different answers for example if you write nicotine causing cancer? you get a yes, no and it doesn't cause cancer but can help other things cause cancer. found this Nicorette page I know they also sell to consumers but its what the doctors suggest/ prescribe

  • Hannah is bang on (and probably many other people but this is an almightily long thread). e-cigarettes are so much better than inhaling the multitude of poisons on normal cigarettes.

They're also helpful to replace the physical motion of cigarettes when quitting.

But I just use my e-cigarette in daily life to get around the silly smoking laws. E-cigarettes while working in the office are a great solution... and a lark

    Horses for courses, etc.
I've reduced my nic strength from when I started vaping, from 24mg to 12mg-ish. I'll probably quit it altogether in another year or two, I'm not fussed. In the meantime, I'm not inhaling and distributing around my body all the hundreds (some say thousands) of trace chemicals that really cause the damage.
There are certainly some who view vaping as a smoking substitute - that's entirely up to them what they choose to do with it. No skin off my nose.

Some people go into vaping as an aid to stopping smoking. Juice contains glycerine, water & food-grade flavourings as well as nicotine, so it can be used to simulate the sensation of smoking and as a way of taking in nicotine, without all the nasties in cig smoke that lead to diseases. Plus the juices come in many different strengths so you can step down the nicotine at a speed that suits you.

Some vapers get down to zero-nic and keep vaping because they enjoy it. Some have no intention of quitting nicotine but their health is improved by not smoking tobacco. Every cig you don't smoke is an improvement and an achievement!

I knew I had to stop smoking but have never wanted to enough to succeed, because I enjoyed it too much. Now I have been vaping exclusively, no cigarettes, for about 3 weeks now and I don't miss the cigs at all. Haven't craved once. In fact the smell makes my stomach lurch now!

I got my first juices in 18mg and 16mg strengths (18 is the strength of a regular cig) and I can't tell the difference between them, so I'll get 16 and 14mg next order and see how I go.
Public appearances now involve clothing. Sorry, it's part of my bail conditions.

Has anyone had any problems with the charging leads? I had one come with my order and ordered an extra one. After about 3 days one seemed to stop charging the plug light was red and the lead light was solid green I tried it in the other plug and my apple plug still no charge. So I just charged both on one lead. No that's packed in, doing the exact same thing. Its annoyed me so much as I was about to hit 48 hours with out a cig. I contacted the company on face book and they said when I ordered next they would send me a new charger which was ok but I don't know when im next ordering then I messaged them yesterday about the second charger and they haven't got back to me. Don't know what to do

We had a faulty charger from vapeescape.co.uk, sent it back on the Thursday and the replacement arrived on the Monday. I thought that was excellent service.

Thanks d123 I have just checked my phone and it seems they messaged me at 11.30 but stupid facebook isn't notifying me. I just don't want them thinking anything bad. because I haven't done anything to them it literally gets plugged in and unplugged I don't charge them over night of anything. Unless it was from a dodgy batch. because ive never had to exact items break within a week of purchase
