As Karma says, the main problem the ecig industry has is bad guys muscling in on the act, so you see all these scam sales and lots of people have been sucked in.
Ecigs are great for lots of people, it's a shame you've been taken by this company.
If you really want to try one, then find a UK ecig forum and read and read, then ask questions (because you will have them).

When I started I had to have a ecig that looked like a normal cigarette, it was rubbish, I realised after a few weeks, but it got me off smoking. Then I moved to a bigger and better one.
At that time (Aug 2011) the choices were slim, (even though they seemed HUGE at the time), now they are absolutely massive.

Go and take a look at the devices the vapers today on the forums are using and see what you think you would like to use.

If you smoke, then changing to ecigs could literally change your life, if you can't give up without them.

The ones you get from Tesco etc, are really basic, although you might prove the concept for yourself.
But in reality, they aren't very good at being a ecig, you really need a better one. When, or if, you come to that realisation, then check out the forums.

Don't worry too much about the loss of the postage they scammed from you. You'll soon be saving so much money and vaping the ones you really want that the missing 8 quid will seem like a bad and distant memory, soon forgotten. By warning others here, you've already put a dent in their credibility and sales. The best revenge is to live well - in this case, vape well :)

Doc, I fell for a scam like this but with teeth whitening - still kicking myself now but I got every penny back and Trading Standards made them change their website so it was abundantly clear that you were signing up for an ongoing contract whereas it most definitely wasn't before. Here's the link to the thread - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1867559

It's worth trying to get all your money back if they were devious and intended to deceive you, if only so they don't continue to do it to others.

I felt sick with myself when it happened to me as you feel so cheated and scammed - it doesn't matter about the money itself, it's the feeling duped that's awful. Felt so much better once I'd shown they couldn't do that to me.

Good luck and hope this doesn't colour your experience of e-cigs in general, I've been vaping for 16 months now, they're wonderful!

  • Though quality of e cigs and e liquids are a concern but it seems quite useful for vapers if they have a basic idea prior to use it.

You can get a decent kit much cheaper than that!
  • E cigs might be good or atleast better alternative to the real cigs. but the quality is a concern.
