No I'm not the owner, have you brought from exhalecigarette before? Are they any good? I prefer the passthrough ones for travelling as you would need the plug.

  • The word "cigarette" is not correct though. A lot of us that use the term Personal vapouriser or PV. You are not actually smoking in any sense of the word. There is no smoke only harmless water based vapour. This is what irritates me about some smoking nazis. They are completely ignorant to what it actually is. Just because some companies decide to colour a thin stick in white and orange to make it look like a cigarette does not mean it is one!! My PV could never be mistaken for a cigarette in a million years.

Do we know you from AAEC Dotty? I call mine my steam machine ;D...

That's what it is. Feeling particularly stressed out with these new carpets coming next week. Talk about stress. Then good friends not helping with what they approve of and what they don't - argh  and trying to control me. (think it's more about their stress levels)

  • Hi all,

I'm after a new eciggie kit as a substitute for smoking until I can kick it all together. I managed 8 months last year until my cartridges were discontinued and I slid back to an occasional ciggie as a result.
I had managed to switch to nicotine-free, fruit vapour cartridges and as yet I haven't found anything similar - any suggestions?
I'm ready to make the investment, I just don't want to find myself 'relapsing' due to availability issues...
    I save, therefore I am...

Just popped on to share my experience with e-cigs, specifically a brand called Smoke Relief. After extensive research only to find that there were very few (if any) reviews out there for most brands I went with this company & ordered the deluxe kit knowing that a friend of mine who uses e-cigs always runs into trouble as she doesn't have a portable charging kit and gets caught without any charged batteries when out and about.

She tells me the taste is quite similar to hers & was on the whole quite impressed.

I used to smoke roll ups so I don't know how the taste would be received by smokers of tailor mades, but I sometimes find it a little unpleasant. This is easily resolved by sucking a sweet or mint at the same time. (I know it sounds a bit disgusting, but hey, it works for me).

Anyway, I've had the kit since my dad passed away back in August and only now have found myself in a position where I was ready to have a go at quitting. I cut back dramatically on thursday, friday & saturday of last week having my last cigarette at around 5pm on the saturday. While there have been moments where temptation has struck, I found that having the e-cigarette at hand helped manage this very well. I even managed to sit next to my partner while he smoked a real cigarette lastnight and didn't even ask for a quick puff (yes of course it crossed my mind, but the main point is that I didn't!)!

They recently added another strength of cartridge so you can now order 3 strengths of refill to help wean you off the nicotine and I ordered the lowest one last night in vanilla flavour to see if I prefer the taste of it (they do several other flavours too). Their only downside so far that I can see is that they don't yet offer nicotine free cartridges but I hope they will introduce them before too long.

Ok, so it's early days for me, but if you don't think you can go cold turkey, or even think the addiction is equally to do with the habit as it is the nicotine, I think this type of contraption is a wonderful tool to help you quit and stay that way.

I just bought a Halo kit for £28, which has got loads of free stuff in a new year deal (although I suspect these deals are around all the time). They do a nicotine free version and various flavours:

I haven't received it yet so can't report on it, but it seemed to have good reviews when I searched around the net.

If you're worried about availability then go for something refillable so you can just buy the liquid from anywhere.
I've given up trying to get my signature to work with the new rules, if nobody knows what the rules are what hope do we have?
  • Those Halo cartridges are a bit expensive :(
