I saw this thread too late, I bought an eshisha pen for £38 including a refillable flavour. It's lasted a while but it hasn't stopped me craving.
Are the e-cigs better in the long run?0 -
merz - the "proper" ones are, rather than the cig look-a-likes, but everyone's needs are different. Probably the best place to start is something like a CE4 or CE5 starter kit, something like this:-

to get you going, all you'd need on top is more juice......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

Dont use SkyCig
I am very dissapointed with the service I have received from SkyCig. I bought a SkyCig with 2 batteries 12 months ago and only used the 3 cartridges that came with it and then never used it again. This year I decided again I would stop smoking and as the charger didnt work anymore ordered myself a new starter kit. First off I had to return the battery as this didn't work and then upon using my old batteries one only lasted for 2 cartridges then never worked again. After contacting customer service i was told the batteries only last 3 months from date of purchase. I hadn't even had 3 months of use from it and it packed in. They told me to buy new batteries. Well I won't be doing this. I find this type of customer service disgraceful. Not only had my original charger box stopped working but also the battery. What if I had purchased this as a gift for someone and they didnt open it until 6 months later. Would they still have refused to replace the battery if it didnt work. Very unhappy with SkyCig and will not recommend them to anyoneSmile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0 -
Unfortunately daz that's the case with alot/most cigarette look alikes ecigs.
Which is why seasoned vapers tend to advocate using a bigger device, plus it works alot betterFreedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
As someone who once smoked 40 a day, let me tell you that ecigs can be an absolute blessing.
I gave up smoking real cigarettes I think in May or June when I took delivery of my ecig from jacvapour. I started with their little kit which had slimline batteries, but having realised I can now smoke indoors and in other peoples homes with it, the batteries kept running out (i think they use iphone battery power lol). Anyway, I then upgraded to a set (vgo) with a larger battery and this meant i could go all day without charging up.
I dont know whether ecigs are unsafe, but let me tell you this, this has got to be better than smoking the real thing. I was a serious addict, I would chain smoke in the car (alone) and then engineer situations where i could go and have a smoke. I would sit outside freezing for hours with a ciggie.
I would highly recommend it to anyone who smokes. Even if you went to tesco and bought 10motives (menthol funnily enough i preferred).
Furthermore, the financial saving is enormous.
When I went on holiday, I decided to buy a pack of cigarettes to see how I felt about them (because a smoker will always miss the real thing). I smoked 1 and a half of them (forcing myself to light the second one to try and enjoy it). I stubbed it out and chucked the pack away.
It was quite refreshing not to have to buy fags at the airport on the way home and I dont even have the urge now. If I can do it, seriously, anyone can.0 -

Just something you have to accept, and if you want reliability go for a bigger battery, like on the Ego system.0 -

The one I have is the totally wicked Ego-C Mega Twist with a Nova Tank which is an amazing piece of kit and ive never ever looked back since.

Nickv1.0, the totally wicked products are just rebranded joyetech/janty e-cigs that can be bought cheaper from many other good e-cig vendors.

I quit smoking seven months ago. The problem is weight gain of about a stone.
Would an e-cig be a backward step for me? Is it just a slippery slope?0 -

But if you've given up for 7 months, why do you want to try a smoking alternative?
You've already done the hard work. Try sorting out your diet.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0
