My free mobile has run it's coarse so rang '3' up and they have put me on a loyalty rate of £5 bill a month giving me 300 x network talk and 150 texts.

A bit te'd off with Tesco points/French life as we had just saved enough points for a two week holiday at Centre Parcs in France only to be told they have finished this offer. (I bet it proved to popular.)

    Hi Jo_B
Glad to see someone is reading the updates,

Just a quick update I put down the wrong figures above IT HAS BEEN WORKING OUT @ £5 a month but I'm on 500 X network talk and 500 Text a month plus I still get my free £5 download each month. sorry about wrong info. Just one thing to add after my dear old Mother in law put my phone in the wash I rang to cancel the account only to be told it will cost you £250 sir as we have signed you up to a seconed 12 month contract, so if you go down this line and go for the loyalty rate then you will be signed and locked in for a further 12 months, I've fallen for this one this time but won't again, still I'm still saving money the biggest bill so far has been £10 and £6 last month as I went well over with my texts. Don't know if it was the call centre in Cape Town making it hard going on the call or the 4 screaming kids in the same room, but I missed the part about the new 12 month contract, or maybe they just never told me.....

Plus, after sending an email to french life, saying I would be taking my custom elsewhere and to someone that would take my Tesco points, they phoned me back saying that they where willing to take the points on this occasion. "Viva La France here we come."

Update 4 years on if anyone still looks at this thread.

We still use this website lots, but haven't posted comments for some time as I have been working hard and haven't had the time.....

I have just finished a loft conversion, had estimates in for £50,000 to £60,000 and upwards. So I took the job on myself. Finished job came in at around £32,000. Had to put some of this on Credit Cards so have moved it to life of balance and 1 year free interest cards.

We still have the same van and still running well.

Still have the 4 kids no more added, now all at school....:rotfl:
