After both my wife and I opening accounts with A&L (she recommended me) we waited for the £50s to be credited to our accounts my wife had her salary paid in and transferred £500 a month to me.

I rang up to find out what had happened to the £50 set up bribes, to be told they would look in to it, plus I got told off for using "1899" and using the over-seas number to call as they can tell somehow. So I asked to be given a landline number but they refused point blank.

Anyway a letter came today saying because I had transferred funds from my wife's A&L account I never qualified for the £50,

I rang up today, this time on the 0845 number and paid 3p or 4p a nimute, the call lasted about 25 mins, I stated that no mention of this was on the Ts and Cs on the web when I signed up and they where happy to take the account and money, what difference did it make, my wife could have her salary payed in to the old account and just transfer the required amounts to both our A&L accounts, the money is still there. She couldn't even tell me where it said it in the Ts and Cs (After I had my letter "Before I phoned" I downloaded a full copy of the Terms and Conditions, and it was there, Paragraph 32.2) so I told her where to find it.

They agreed to give me a second bite of the cherry but she warned me they will be watching for the money circling around the accounts (I think she knew we are "players/carpetbaggers" and proud of it).

At this point i would have told her to stick her account where the sun dont shine. You have far more patience than me.

Okay, Okay, I was just sitting back in the spa feet up glass of wine in one hand and Martins book in the other (Have been reading a chapter a night.) when I got to page 305 I sat up with a jolt and just about dropped the book in the water, there was a bit about ME, and MMR in it, talk about being up-to date, Up to the minute, more like.

Good luck with the book Martin, and your new girlfriend....

    Stoozzing? hmmmmm

Have just borrowed £11,800 on intrest free card and paid in to A&L saver plus account, now just sit back and watch it grow.

Plus they said if I don't break Ts & Cs they will extend it to 9 months if I call back.

Not bad for a couple of phone calls...... ;)
