I've had interest added to my recently matured fixed rate account! However, it is not as much as I expected, but we have to be thankful for small mercies! Can anyone remember what the rate was for the 6 month fixed rate account?0

It's ok - found it (still 1st item on Google) - 6.75% gross paid on maturity.0

Addendum to post before last:
Accounting for 20% tax the interest amount is just about spot on!0 -
Just noticed that interest (£109.50) has been added to the ISA (£3600), but nothing to my other savings accounts...something is obviously happening!!0

Yep, I was just coming on here to say I have had interest added for one of my ISAs, but not the other... but the other ISA had its interest paid monthly on 7th October so I guess I'm not due any on that one any!
Good to see that something is happening.0 -
Ooh yup, count me in on the interest added to ISA club.0

They've added interest to my fixed deposit, dated 10/10 but nothing added to ISA and easy access savings.
It looks like a decision has been made to "mature" the fixed deposits on the 10th regardless of their term. So interest has been added to comply with the FSCS "interest paid to maturity" statement.
No doubt the FSCS want to finalise the whole lot rather than have the fixed terms run their full course and possibly the wisest decision under the circumstances?
Not too bothered about that as long as it's all plain sailing.0 -
I am sorting out new savings accounts but need to look into some fixed rate accounts as well as instant access. Is anyone sorted re fixed rate?0

Just checked my 3 accounts with IceSave (1 x Easy Access & 2 x Fixed Term Accounts). All 3 accounts have had interest added up to 10 Oct and the Fixed Term Accounts have a maturity date set as 10 Oct too. I now know how much money I will be claiming back and I am very pleased and relieved. :j0

Hmmm? Having just checked, my fixed term bonds (due to mature next year) have not had interest added up to 10/10/08, but my variable account has. What are others seeing on their online statements?
(PS. Hoping we have the option to keep fixed bonds running - I haven't a clue where to put the funds right now!)0
