The troll conspiracy musings I read daily on forums carry as much weight as all other conspiracy theories.

That's true, but I have known a couple of compulsive liars in my time and the OP is displaying the same attributes I found them to have. If you'd known these people I think you'd see what I mean (as its hard to explain but as I said the OP's response to the "trying to sell them" suggestion)

My other suspicion is the way the OP writes would suggest to me that they are not as old as they claim.

Anyway this wage slave needs to get back to being a black cab driving mastermind winner, my fare is quite worried that my time on this forum is hindering my driving ability - whoops missed their turn.

So I remind you of a white middle class type from my comments; well the OP comes across to me as somebody making it up as we go along. Somebody suggests they see a sols, hey presto they already have an appointment for next week, somebody says try to sell the flats, the OP claims to already be trying to do that. This whole thread seems to have something for everybody, its just too good to be true hence why I believe the OP is a troll.

This so call humble shop keeper owns (or is contracted to own) mulitple properties and has a business of some value (although he has had to lay off staff) yet the business doesn't provide the income to service the debts used to buy these properties.

And then you go on to imply most Asian shop keepers are inventive with their tax - but the white middle class type don't know this :rotfl: .

    I love it.

By the way which would you rather be? A wage slave earning a reasonable amount doing 40 hours a week, or somebody running their own business earning more but having to do 80 or 100 hours a week. Without the wage slave you wouldn't have business men or women, without the business men or women there wouldn't be anywhere for the wage slaves to work.

And I don't think there is anything wrong with owning a shop, I just thought it was odd that a uni graduate would own and run a corner shop just a few years after graduating, and the OP asked what posts made me supicious so I picked that one and the one that seems to contradict it.

When i bought the shop it was doing a weekly turnover of £12000. On an 18% profit margin the gains are extremely good. Yes you have to put a lot of graft in but its nice to know that its going in my pocket and noone elses. A uni grad earns average £14k first year. Hmm.

I seriously dont think you have a clue about much. I thought i was bad but you my friend, i dunno where to begin.
You actually believe that i came here as my first port of call and didnt try to do sumin before??? Before i came here I had made an appointmet with the sols, talked to few people (who you think just popped out the blue) to take on the flats. I thought i may find sumin i dont know by comin here. and what do i get?? A mad rabbit carrying out a crash detective course!! Unbelievable.

If you knew anything about business you'l kow that they can go up AND down. When they go up, life is good. When they go down, staff CAN suffer. Im always up for a bit of comp but come on, do you think I can run how I did with a tesco right in front of me??? If i could afford the losses i wouldnt be so worried. But the fact is that I cannot sustain the losses with my current financial situation. Is that too hard to understand??

Coming to the tax bit....i think ill keep quiet!!!

And trust me, I have nothing against ppl working for others. Thats their choice. But if i choose to work for myself then that shouldnt be a point to debate on. Its irrelevent mate.

Look mate, i seriously dont know what your problem is. I came here for advice, not to be accused of being, like yo put it, a 'troll'. Please just go and do sumin useful with yourself and let me be. Thank you.

Sorry no offence to Solicitors (I'm only jealous as Im a pleeby broker with no professional status). The point of my jibe was in response to a lot of middle class professional chit chat I hear in my own village and on forums, where people have a misplaced sense of social standing, based largely on how much they earn comparitevly.

A commonly held view is that shop keepers and other non professionals are assumed to earn less than say your employed solicitor and this I think stems in part from official stats based on official tax return info, which are not anything like a true picture of many individuals income and certainly no reflection of assets.

Furthermore, Governments rely on census forms to determine national incomes, yet for sure the sorts of people I deal with never fill these in or if they do they put thier income as low as possible as they are scared Big Brother may be watching even though the census is framed as anonymous.
This info often appears in the media and again is totaly misleading.

So next time your in a corner shop or restaurant dont make an assumption the owner has a poor life. Its quite likely they owbn a string of properties and have other business interests.

So true mate. Its areally surprising how much dough shopkeepers (unfortunately not me) can make. My uncle is on £4k a week net pro. Yet when you see him, you'd think he's hardly got a penny to his name.
obviously there are some, like me, who are just on hand to mouth but ppl shouldnt get fooled.
restaurants are a whole different ball game. 50% profit margins average takeaway. Mad rabbit- my mate, who left uni wit me, owns a chippy, does £2k a week net profit. He got the location spot on and his food is good too.
So, i dont see what the big fuss is about. I went uni and then opened a shop. I decided i wasnt goin to work for anyone else but me. I dnt see what mad rabbit's problem is with that. Some ppl go to uni for self-satisfaction and not just for the dough it'l bring...one day.

Well, well, well!!! Ol' Sherlock now thinks Im 'not as old as i claim' to be. Guess how....the way I write!!! You seriously need to be on the force mate. What are you doing here???

And coming to black cab drivers.....did you know that they can make upto £1000 a week and more?? Before you initiate another investigation....I'll re-phrase...Black cab drivers in Manchester.

Honestly mate, Ive tried my best to let such ppl just talk and not think about it. I came here for sumin which i got from the good ppl here who actually fill the purpose of what i thought this site was all about.
But this guy doesnt just drop it. To him im lying about the flats, the steps ive taken to avoid the consequences. Now ive commited a sin coz i work in a corner shop and ive got a degree. Hold on, im even 'lying' about my age, bcoz of the way i write....its actually becoming funny to me. Lets jus ignore him now.

sorry got involved in INSIGNIFICANT matters

went to see sol yesterday. isn't looking too good as was kinda expected. Most of the stuff we've talked about here and also a few other issues like the developer having delayed the completion, also the 'discount' not being disclosed on papers. she has all the paperwork and asked for detailed study over the wekend. and would get back to me by monday.
other than that talked about ways to minimise my losses. its a case of how much will i lose than will i lose at all. so at least that side is clear.
one last hope is if she spots sumin on the contracts which hasnt been exposed already. dreading monday. but staying positive, as always.

Thanks and much appreciation to everyone here who took time out to advise. Thank you also to the abusers as they have acted as a deterent...so hopefully wont be cocking up this big again.
    thank you.
  • Hope the solicitor can help - best of luck on Monday.
